I moved to CA in January, a 2-time kidney transplant recipient. I've had Rituximab for high titer EBV in the past at Tufts. I sought a consultation w/ Rosove expecting that I would need another infusion when the EBV reactivates. He was amiable & said that if I needed it in the future he would order it, as long as my transplant doctor instructed him to. Fast forward 5 months: EBV is reactivated, I'm very ill. It's been 3+ weeks since I got the requisite imaging done. He emails today to tell me he doesn't prescribe Rituximab for EBV without lymphoma. He has given me *no* indication up until today that he cannot help me. Now I have to find a new hematologist in the middle of a pandemic w/ high EBV counts, immunosuppressed & barely functional. He refuses to acknowledge any of this. He actually emailed me a list of his academic achievements in response to me pushing back. This guy is, frankly, a jerk. I never expected to encounter someone this incompetent & cruel at the same time.

Without mincing words, Dr. Rosove saved my adult daughters life. He and his team correctly and quickly diagnosed her condition as HLH. She was going downhill fast - Dr. Rosove consulted with other HLH specialists and aggressively treated her. She is doing well now thanks to Dr. Rosove and his team recognizing a very difficult disease to diagnose.

The worst treatment of a cancer patient. my mom was in ucla RR last week for 3 nights. She was scheduled to see 2 drs yesterday. Rosove was one. We get to an exam room. Then we waited at 40min We asked how much of longer, they said he said he was busy in office reading We assume my mom's records. He shows up at 1hr15min.1st thing he says to her is 'Can you tell me why you're here?'. He hadn't looked at her biopsy results nor CTs. Didn't even know she had cancer. He left & 10 minutes so did we.

45 minutes and counting. just sitting in the exam room. Ridiculous. Either learn how to schedule properly or be on time. The receptionist just asked him how much longer he'd be, and he said he didn't know he's working in something in his office. what a joke.
