Always a pleasant visit with Dr Spedick. He is very thorough and you can tell he truly cares. Takes his time and listens to all your concerns. Never rushes you out of the exam. 5 stars!

I would definitely recommend Dr. Spedick to family and friends. He is thorough, professional, approachable, and most importantly knowledgeable. He creates a calm environment for his patients. The offices are kept clean and organized. The staff is friendly and keeps the office organized and running on time.

Dr. Spedick's Office Staff are personable, professional and efficient. They leave you with a welcoming feeling and set a wonderful tone for your visit. Dr Spedick seems more like a concerned friend that exudes a tremendous sense of friendly confidence in his demeanor. I feel that I am getting the best care possible in his presence. I highly recommend Dr. Spedick and his staff for all your eye needs.

Dr Spedick is a very funny, compassionate, and thorough Dr. He is very easy to talk to and explains everything easily.

From the courteous receptionists to the professional and pleasant technicians and staff and Dr. Spedick's competent demeanor and thorough explanations, the well-run office at Ocean Eye Institute is first-rate all around.

Very pleasant

We’ve been seeing Dr. Spedick at the Toms River office for 30+ years, and he is patient, thorough, professional and pleasant. Usually we can say the same about the staff too. Today however there was a very rude (new?) receptionist (Betsy?) who told me to sit down before she even greeted me or asked my name. When I tried to give her my name to check in for my appointment she continued to dismiss me. A different receptionist then helped me and was pleasant in the manner we are accustomed to. I hope the office manager will monitor Betsy’s behavior and re-train her, as we observed her be unnecessarily rude to another patient today as well. She seems quite miserable and her demeanor is bad for business.

Dr Spedick is the most thorough eye doctor that I have ever been to. He is truly is a specialist in his field. He listens and cares about his patients. I have used other eye doctors in the past and would not use anyone else other then Dr. Spedick.

Dr. Spedick always impresses with his expertise, thoughtfulness, humor and patience. While most of my appointments have been for routine care, some have been for a serious infection requiring immediate attention and follow up. Dr. S has never failed to open a spot in his busy schedule whenever I have this infection.

Dr. Spedick is wonderful! He’s funny, kind, compassionate, and very thorough. The office staff is awesome! Overall excellent experience!

Brought my 3 week old baby for an eye exam and he was so patient with her. Gave a very thorough exam and answered all of my questions. Highly recommend!

Horrific. My 7 y/o had to see Dr. Spedick for an emergency visit (he was recommended by a few people we knew). Somehow she had a small piece of metal stuck in her eye. I explained that our child had brain surgery the previous year and was a very tough little girl that appreciates honesty. From the moment he walked in the room I sensed the lack of compassion and patience from both Dr. Spedick and his female assistant. Our daughter was terrified when he neglected to explain what he was doing. After a few minutes of observing the metal and attempting to get it out he said to our 7 y/o "Fine you can just go to the hospital then and be put to sleep to get it out," as he proceeded to take his gloves off. HE WAS AWFUL! Then after 45 minutes, he thought he got the metal out then told me he can't find it! We left the office and the following day went to a different doctor to get it out- the amazing and Dr Mady! Spedick is rude and impatient. My daughter said "Mommy,I dont like the doctor!"

Was very friendly,thorough and clean

I have been under the care of Dr. Spedick for many years. He has always been very personable, very thorough, very knowledgeable, and has a great sense of humor like no other doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Spedick, along with the entire staff at Ocean Eye Institute in Toms River, NJ because they are true professionals. In fact, my husband, children, and grandchildren go there and they are all very pleased just as much as me.

Annual eye exam. Thorough exam. Has taken good care of me for at approximately 20 Years. Pleasant person with a good sense of humor.

He is absolutely wonderful with children. I took my 5 month old for a droopy eyelid. He and his staff explained things to me. They were gentle and playful with my daughter. The front office staff was very nice. I didn't wait long. I just can't say enough good things.

The staff was friendly and courteous. Scheduling was prompt. Doctor Spedik was patient and kind. He answered all my concerns clearly. I would recommend him to everyone.

He is always so pleasant and thorough. He advises you on issues and what corrective actions are possible in a positive tone. I had a pressure issue behind my eyes and I hate eye drops. He suggested a laser procedure 3 years ago, Now, there is no issue with the pressure.
