Dr. Michael Thambuswamy, MD

Swamy used to be a wonderful surgeon with excellent bedside manner and will really spend the time to listen to you. However, after my 3rd spine surgery, I was to be discharged the following day. Due to transport issues, I had to leave an hour to two hours before he showed up. I was then an AMA discharge status. My nurse had my IV out and I was just waiting on him. After getting home, I received no pain meds called in, no call back to check on my status, nothing. For days I went after spine surgery with zero meds. I only got a call back from him days later since I filed with the Medical Board. I was told 'I have no obligation to you'. I was floored. I understand AMA absolves the surgeon of many things but where is the moral and ethical obligation to those you did surgery on? Even if there was a remote reason to not have to do a thing about it, do you not care that you left people in pain? AMA discharge or not shouldn't remove the humanity portion of caring for a patient.

The best doctor of any field I’ve ever had. Spent as much time as I needed. Was professional, comforting and reassuring. Answered questions honestly even if it meant I would choose not to go under the knife and or I should wait as long as I possibly can before having that surgery done.

I found this surgeon after many hours of personal research and reading many reviews. He comes into the room with a smile and has all the time in the world for each and every question a patient may have, plus his explanations and options are detailed. This man is confident and secure in his abilities to provide the very best in surgical outcomes. Speaking from recent experience with an L4, L5 and S1 fusion, I could not be more pleased with my outcome. ALL of the pain prior to surgery is gone. Such a blessing! His entire staff in the Tulsa office are top-notch. Jared is also an exceptional human being. Care following surgery at Tulsa Specialty Spine and Brain was the best hospital care experience I have had. Ever!

The dedication of this wonderful man is relentless and beyond caring. I just finished seeing this man on a Saturday. Dedication defined. He’s been my doctor for over a year now and he has a heart with the bedside manner any person would want from a doctor. True kindness and attention to detail. His staff is just as caring and sharp as he is. His brain surgery on me is going well and if God forbid, you’re in a situation like I was, this is your man! Take care and God bless.
