Disrespectful!
I showed up on time for my appointment that was scheduled a couple of months in advance and was waiting to be called in. Another patient then showed up 20 minutes late for their appointment for Dr. Tran, and they took them in ahead of me. I was going to have to wait because they gave priority to someone who didn't show up on time. I had to leave without seeing the doctor because I had another appointment to get to. When I called to reschedule, the staff was unhelpful and a bit rude. They told me it would be another 2 months before they could get me in again. Very disappointed. Very disrespectful. Will not be going back.

Does Not Communicate With The Patient Well
Dr Tran never explained anything he was doing during my exam. I had to keep asking him (what's that for, what are you doing to me now, etc.). He was not receptive to my fears about getting a prostate biopsy. He just kept saying, "what are you afraid of, what are you afraid of." He never explained the risks involved, and he never explained what the healing process would be like. I left his office with lots of fear, and tons of unanswered questions. I knew immediately that I would need to seek out a different urologist. Can't recommend.

I pulled away from Dr. Tran's care because he wouldn't communicate with me after he caused an infection. I would email him. Other doctors returned my email but never heard a word from Dr. Tran. After waiting a week to hear from Dr. Tran I ended up going elsewhere to get treatment for my infection. I was scheduled for Lithotripsy with Dr. Tran but I canceled that because I don't trust or feel safe with him. And after seeing other reviews, I'm surprised that Scripps feels comfortable having him on staff.

I was operated on by Dr Tran and subsequently went to another urologist to correct Tran's work. I was left with scar tissue from Tran that all but closed off my bladder. I am still contemplating sending a letter to Scripps management regarding Tran. I love the Scripps organization and their doctors. Tran needs to take more care, probably should go in front of a review board of peers, and take further training in his craft.

He is not a good doctor. After my husband’s prostate surgery, he had four urinary tract infections and a fever of 105 - I left several messages for Dr. Tran but he nor anyone in his office ever called back! My husband required corrective surgery to correct what Dr. Tran’s operation caused. DO NOT USE DR. TRAN

I have this urologist for sometime at Scripps hospital, but now I have decided not to see him again. I had a prostatitis problem. He never answer any of my questions properly, so I was usually unable to understand what was going on with my prostatitis. He performed a cystoscopy procedure on me iand I suffer frequent pain attacks since then. He never responds to any phone calls, not even his nurses do in a timely manner. If you insist to talk to him, they hang up on you. The Scripps management should look into this urology team, because it damages the hospital's reputation.
