Wonderful Surgeon
I fell and broke my femur bone just below hip socket and Dr, Vener placed a rod in the bone to hold the femur together. He did a wonderful job and now later I can walk again without pain.

Dr. Vener's bedside/patient empathy, in my opinion, lacked significantly. I, after 75 days post-op, still suffer from severe pain, night and day, 24/7. I got the impression that he did not believe me. I do *not* lie and I do *not* exaggerate. I sensed his non-concern when he told me I had to 'deal with this pain following major surgery.' He also told me I had to 'put this (surgery) behind me' and 'live the rest of my life.' I had tears in my eyes as I asked him, "How can I live the rest of my life in this much pain?" He never answered, rose from his chair and left the room. I was not happy. No empathy or possible solutions offered.

I Get they see lots of people yet it seems the compassion is a bit lost. Also I felt like he just repeated himself everything I asked a question. Prob won't return

Terrible experience
He has the worst bedside manner I have seen and I was a medical secretary for 25 years. Most of the people I meet have the same opinion of him. He replaced my knee and my scar is so crooked it looks like he was drunk. I kept getting cellulitis afterwards but he kept blowing it off so I ended up in the emergency room. Six months later I was having ankle pain and made the mistake of going back to him and he completely misdiagnosed me. I was walking around on a torn Achilles tendon for 7 months with bone spurs. Went to a podiatrist and he diagnosed it right away. I needed surgery to repair it which he missed.

Dr Vener replaced both of my hips. I am so grateful. I can walk, go up and down stairs and carry my grandchildren without pain. So nice to have my life back.
