Wonderful Doctor
Dr. Kessler is a wonderful doctor. She was able to care for me and fix my health issues when no one else could. She has continued to care for me after all these years. I am grateful for her and her staff. We're lucky to have a doctor like her in our area.

Lied about my health!!
I went to see dr Kessler at her ripley location. She tried to tell me first to have a stomach band at my first appointment then at my follow up she told me I needed a D&C for a polyp that didn’t exist! I had two other doctors confirm my suspicions on this urgency for a d&c to remove something that wasn’t there… save yourself and find a different doctor!!

I read the reviews before making my appointment. I should have believed them. Dr. Kessler is rude, abrasive and obnoxious. I could not wait to leave her office. She would not let me talk, instead talking over me to tell ME what my symptoms were. I will not ever go back. Reading most of the negative reviews are a carbon copy of what I experienced. I try to read any review with a grain of salt as sometimes they can be from a disgruntled person that holds a grudge. Not this time. First time and last time I will ever pursue care from her.

Dr. Kessler is wonderful. She helped me more in one appointment than my old GYN did in 10 years. She is knowledgeable, caring, understanding, and knows what she's doing. I would recommend her 10 times over to any female that is tired of being treated like just dollar signs. Dr. Kessler really listens you and try to help you. I just love her!

She performed a procedure on me (to remove a fibroid in her office)which I later found out should have been with anesthesia. During the procedure, which turned out to feel very barbaric, I told her that I couldn't stand the pain anymore but she and her assistant degraded me and told me I was the first person that year to complain and they dismissed my pain. I have since found out that when other women get a fibroid removed they are usually under some kind of anesthesia or have some kind of medication. When I told her the procedure was too painful and I couldn't take it anymore, she did not stop. She is rude and cold,I honestly believe there is something mentally wrong with this woman. I didn't go back to a gynecologist for several years because of that experience.

Extremely Rude, Very poor bedside manner. She doesn't listen to the concerns of her patients. She is very rough when executing physical exams. She thinks that all patients are the same and that medications are universal and will create the same outcome with each patient because "the science says so". She is very out of touch with reality as well as speaks ill of patients after visits with medical students and possibly staff.

Very disgruntled female – Jan 01, 2021
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Kessler?
Would not recommend, had issues with an IUD that she inserted and I had to have several doctors try and fix the sloppy job she did. She seemed like she didn’t want to remove the IUD and didn’t seem like she cared or listened to anything I said when I told her I wanted it out. She cut the strings so short that I could not feel the strings myself and doctors could not see during a pap. Had 3 other doctors try and find it, resulting to me having to get it removed under anesthesia and dilating me enough to see my cervix.

Had a pap done, during the pap she forcefully put her finger in my rectum without asking or giving me any type of warning. Totally violated me and which I think was super unprofessional. I also don’t believe she fully hears you out while your explaining your issues. Very quick to try and blame other things without getting to the root of the problem and I felt like I was rushed the whole time I was in the room with her. My mother and I both saw her and she had the same issues. I liked her at first but that ended quickly. Would not recommend going to her.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Kessler?
My initial complaint was uti symptoms. The staff didn’t test me for it and the speculum was cold. Kessler totally misdiagnosed me. I’m not in menopause but her diagnosis was for women who have finished menopause! But I went to the follow up after using prescribed drugs and she talked down to me because I used the medicine different than prescribed. (Because I felt better) I was not asked why I used it differently. I clammed up and didn’t explain and then Kessler roughly used a rubber glove without to check inside me. On the 2nd opinion the diagnosis was different and turned out I was doing the meds correctly for my real issue and my hormones were not the issue. I would not recommend her ever.

I had a Pap Smear done. I am used to doing these every year. The doctor however did a rectal exam without warning me she would be doing this. It was done abruptly and was painful. It felt unprofessional and uncaring. I have worked in the healthcare field for decades and know how this should have been handled. I was disappointed with my visit.

Dr. Kessler actually takes the time to get a detailed medical history before moving forward. No other doctor had asked me about eating habits or past partners before. She genuinely cares about your whole health, not just her area of expertise. Her wait time is minimal and her office staff is patient and friendly.
