Dr. Micheal Young, MD

I went to the ER on a Sunday afternoon with pain in my stomach. I was diagnosed with appendicitis. Dr. Young had gone home following a previous surgery. When they contacted him, he willingly came back in to do my surgery. He did a great job. I would highly recommend him. His bedside manner and sense of humor are great too!

The followup appt after gallbladder surgery I told him about pain I was having. He said "that's where I took the gallbladder from". A few days later the pain began to spread to my right rib area. I called his office many times explaining the pain & burning I was having. They always said "nerves waking up". When it moved to my left side. I told them "It is NOT nerves waking up" I went to his office 3 times after that. Here are some of thing he actually said "There's no little man in there poking you" "Maybe it's fibromyalgia?" "I don't know why you keep coming back here" "Clips don't just fall off" I said "Yes, they can" he says "Not mine". Over a YEAR, I got worse. So, I got tested for titanium. It was positive! The Allergist sent it to my 2 doctors. Young immediately shot a note stating "clips have never been removed for that reason" I sent a .gov showing there has. He says "I studied these cases. It's not what you have" 4 mos after algy test, clips are still in me and I'm miserable!

This guy is a nightmare. I was referred to him to consult on gallstone surgery. His demeanor was unpleasant, so when he asked me when I wanted to schedule surgery, I said I wanted to think about it. He then said he doubted I had gallstones anyway! So why was he going to schedule surgery? I then asked him to look at a cyst on my back. He called a second nurse into the room and they each held me by an arm. He gave me a quick numbing injection and then IMMEDIATELY started cutting. I very loudly announced that it was extremely painful (I believe I was yelling oh my God that hurts). He not only did not offer to give me more numbing, but neither he nor the nurses responded. He’s a horrible doctor.

His staff and himself top notch care givers his surgery skill second to none saved my life and made the aftercare go so smoothly thank thank thank you!

Dr Young was professional and caring. He understood my condition fully, answered all my questions and volunteered answers to questions I had not yet considered. I have complete confidence in his abilities as a surgeon. I feel lucky that he and his staff are leading my care team.

He was such a cheerful man. He seemed very competent.

He completely missed my diagnosis and only after travelling 700 miles to another doctor who was highly regarded did I get the surgery I needed.
