Dr. Michel Kafrouni, MD

I had a colonoscopy and exam as my stomach/intestines were literally pushing against my skin when I would eat. Dr. Kafrouni said I was just obese. I am overweight as I am in constant pain. Thank goodness I got a second opinion. IMMEDIATELY, without even imaging or scope the new dr told me I had several large hernias. The doctor determined this by pushing along my torso and having me sit up...which caused the hernia to bulge outward (I had questioned this to Dr. Kafrouni who once again just told me to lose weight). The one was even pushing through the intestine! I had surgery and I feel so much better!! I feel with as many years as Dr. K has in medicine, he should have known something was wrong besides weight. His utter dismissal and condescending attitude just made it that much worse.

Arrived for an 11:45 AM appointment at 11:30. Waited until 12:30 be be seen. After waiting an hour I went to the receptionist to reschedule because of a follow up appointment with another doctor miles away. Receptionist stated I would be contacted by phone to reschedule. That was three days ago and have never received a response. My time is valuable to me, waiting an hour past appointment time is poor service.

Visited his office in early June 2020. I had some pain in my stomach and chest with continuous bloated stomach and sometimes constipation. So in the visit I explained to him what I was feeling. Right away, he told MAN I know a friend of mine got same symptoms and found out he has colon cancer. WHAT?!!! I mean what kind of doctor are you to tell your patient you might have cancer by setting with him in less than 10 minutes?!?! (BTW I’m 41y very healthy) He told me I have to do EGD and colonoscopy. Which I agreed to do cuz at that point he scared the hell out of me. We did the procedures and everything was okay thanks God no sign of cancer. (So he plays bad game by giving you a false diagnosis and scares you he pretends like he’s working on it and have you do extra unneeded exams, procedures and visits. At the end after you had spend a lot of money would bring you a GREAT news). Now it’s been over 3 and half months I still have same symptoms didn’t get any better BTW spent over $4k

He is very thorough, caring, listens well and doesn’t push medication on you that you feel is not useful. He has a great bedside manner. I highly recommend!!

I would 100% recommend Dr. Kafrouni . I had gastritis issues and was completely stressed out. I had a EDG done and before and after the procedure he took the time to sit down and talk to me. I never felt rushed and felt he truly listened to me and cared. He is a genuine doctor with lots of knowledge. He knows what he is doing and within 3 months I was completely better. He is an amazing doctor!

He has been an excellent dr I have recommended him many times,I was bleeding out in my stomach,He went down my throat and repaired the damaged, it saved my life,I and my husband have come to love him like a very dear friend,we wouldn't want to give him up for any reason

I saw Dr. Kafrouni for an EGD and a colonoscopy. He was very nice and explained everything until I was satisfied with his answers. He takes the time to listen and explain no matter how long it takes. His office staff is very friendly and helpful when you need an appointment or to schedule a procedure. I would highly recommend him to anyone. He's a real sweetheart

Always listens to patient and gives you plenty of time to answer all questions no matter how may questions you have or how long it takes.
