Dr. Michele Lapayowker, DO

This office called me & said they called my medicare card no. by medicare and my number came up invalid. They told me to call medicare. Because i worked for a municipality my retirement included health care if medicare doesn't cover. I told that to the office but they refused to bill that insurer. So i called medicare and yes i got to speak to a rep who said my obgyn is wrong. My card is valid. I called my obgyn back and they still insisted it isn't and wanted a reference no for the call. I said cancel appt and i got another dr. My question is why are they even calling to find out if its valid if no visit occurred yet. My appt was for next week. My next question is if in fact my medicare was inactive why would they refuse to bill my secondary from the city. I'm so upset. I'm a 66 almost 67 without insurance per my obgyn ???????

New patient to Dr. Lapayowker! She was brilliant! Compassionate and thorough. Gave advice and performed full exam. I felt heard and supported and reassured.Staff were polite and thorough. Waiting room was welcoming and clean.

Last Friday, I left 3 messages for Dr. Lapayowker to call in a prescription to my pharmacy and I'm still waiting for a response. At this point, I'm looking for new OBGYN.

I am a new patient. I met with Doctor Lapayowker today and I felt extremely comfortable with her. She sat me down first and asked me questions to learn about my myself and medical history. The whole process was easy. I went for my yearly check up. I highly recommend her. She gave me advice about taking extra supplements. How to do self breast exams. I am beyond grateful I found her!

She’s an alarmist. Orders unnecessary tests. Arrives after her patients in the morning. Collects payment up front.

Absolutely I would recommend Dr Lapayowker. She takes her time explaining things and she has a great bedside manner.

She was attentive, real, listened, not rushed. However, it was the most uncomfortable, rough pelvic exam and pap I've ever had in my 45 years of getting them. She also seemed under-educated on DIM's, which in my research I think are very important especially for post-meno women.

I have been seen Dr. Lapayowker for many years now. Always a pleasure to see her and all her wonderful staff. All very polite and caring. Dr. L always very kind and extremely knowledgeable in her profession. Thank you

Dr. Lapayowker is an intelligent wonderful and caring doctor who makes lots of great suggestions in helping women of all ages feel their best. She takes time to listen and is very relatable! I can’t say enough about her! I have been disappointed however in how they have handled the Covid precautions... yes staff is wearing masks and the seating in the reception room is further apart and they have used and new pens in containers but there is no questions asked about illness or exposure, no temperature taking, and no monitoring of patients in the waiting area. The two last visits had me worried. The first I encountered was hearing a woman coughing VERY loudly. The second visit there was a patient taking quite a bit of time drinking water without a mask ( necessary for some ultrasounds but the patient should do it in the car... in fact many people could wait in the car . The last disturbing incident was a patient who “wore” her mask below her nose talking on the phone the whole time!!??

Dr Lapayowker is a wonderful compassionate physician. Her staff members are friendly and efficient.

I absolutely love being a patient of Dr Lapayowker! She makes me feel very comfortable and I highly recommend her!

Dr Laypayoker took her time with me and explained all the changes that I am going through in menopause. I was with another gyn for almost 30 years and she never took the time to sit with me I will definitely be going back and will recommend her to my friends.

Not only Dr. Lapayowker, but her office staff and nurses are amazing! The office is always immaculate and time efficient. I've been seeing her for over 20 years. Two of our daughters were a little nervous at their first vist, but everyone made them feel comfortable. We highly recommend Dr. Lapayowker!!
