Dr. Michelle Koury, MD

On Saturday, Aug 21, I visited Crystal Run Urgent Care in Middletown. I saw Dr. Michelle Koury. She ultimately proved to be competent and confident, and hopefully I am on the road to recovery. I am giving her 3 stars for her lousy bedside manner and lack of compassion. I was clearly in pain, and I was visibly upset (had to put a dog down 24 hours earlier). I asked if my husband could come to be another set of ears. She responded with a stern, headshaking “no!”. When I pointed out that another couple had been let in together, she gave me another stern, headshaking “no!” She told me I could go elsewhere if I wanted to. She also asked me 3 different times, “How can I help you?” in a very nasty tone as I was sobbing. Seeing how upset I was, perhaps she could have suggested that I call my husband on the phone so he could listen in, but she did not, and I was too upset to make that suggestion. I sucked it up; we proceeded with the exam. There really was no excuse for this type of treatment.
