Dr. Murakami is my pain management Doctor. She is an excellent doctor. She is first and foremost professional.She has a great bedside manner, caring empathetic and knowledgeable. Even the front staff is very helpful. I’m treated with respect. Love coming here for my health care.

Dr. Murakami has been treating me for a chronic pain condition. Dr. Murakami takes the time to listen and has always treated me with respect and compassion. She has gone above and beyond to try and understand the source of my pain. When other doctors gave up, Dr. Murakami always stayed positive and always had new ideas about different things I could to help alleviate the pain. Thanks to Dr. Murakami I am managing my pain now and enjoying my life. She is truly an outstanding doctor.

Professional caring empathetic approachable skilled listens

Dr. Murakami has been treating my knee pain since 2018. I have undergone a series of Hyaluronic Acid injections and one set of steroid injections. Dr. Murakami suggested Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy. This is not covered by Medicare, but after reading about it and the success rates being published I decided to try it. Some studies mentioned 60% of patients got major relief. The PRP injections are much less painful than the Hyaluronic Acid injections. After a few weeks my chronic pain level is significantly lower. Acute pain episodes are not as painful. Dr. Murakami’s process may have a higher or lower success rate, than the aforementioned 60%, we can’t know without data. Since it is less painful than Hyaluronic Acid injections the only drawback is the cost and not being covered by Medicare. Much study needs to be done on this therapy to optimize its effects, but since it involves no drugs, no drug company is going to do the work to get this FDA approved and paid by Medicare.

I have been seeing Dr Murakami for a few years now and I feel like she really listens and tries to understand what is going on with me and my pain journey. She then works with me and together we can move forward to see what can be done to make life better and less painful and more comfortable. I truly believe that I am heard by her and that says a lot these days!
