She's a very kind and patient doctor to have in town, she's always happy to explain things that some people don't understand about what she's trying to say to her patients. Especially when it comes to her experience with mentally or physically disabled citizens in need of her medical knowledge and recommendations about medication along with treatments. Dr. Mikka M. She is condescending and will not listen to you if you have multiple issues. She's quick to send you to a psychiatrist if she gets tired of seeing you. Her nurse, Naomi, has the worst attitude and will make you feel like you're nobody. Do NOT go to her if you have complex health issues. I switched doctors and it was the best thing I ever did for myself.

Dr. is nice sure, but doesn't listen or care to hear your opinion. Everything is just brushed under the rug. Long waiting periods in the waiting room but DR always seemed rushed with apts. Turns out I had a serious chronic Illness went undetected for years. Once I got the care I need the other Dr was shocked she didn't even flirt with the idea of chronic illness even tho I had all the symptoms.

Professional, kind, listens, explains well, incredible knowledge base. And efficient.

She is the BEST family practice Dr in the Quad Cities! Smart as a whip, and extremely caring and compassionate. The total package!

Dr. Appel makes one feel that she is genuinely happy to have you as a patient. She seems genuinely interested in her patient’s life and takes as much time as needed to answer questions.

Dr Appel is very knowledgeable, but seems to have too large a patient load. She relies heavily on specialists. If you don't fall into her office's narrow focus, they are unwilling to accommodate your needs. Office manager is extremely defensive and rude. No one at this office is going out of their narrow job description to help anyone. My advise is to look else wear.

Very friendly, but ultimately doesn't care what you have to say. She will very politely brush off your concerns while forcing her own brand of treatment, which usually involves ignoring your symptoms and sending you to specialist to find the root problem while you deal with the symptoms on your own (instead of a dual approch). YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE TO BEG YOUR OWN DOCTOR FOR HELP. But if all you have is a runny nose, or a sports physical she might do in a pinch.

Caring and knowledgeable. She takes time and really listens. Explains well and has excellent follow up. We adore her! She treats you as a person not just as a case.

She is such a compassionate person, and takes a real interest in your needs . She takes the time needed to find a resolution to your problems. We love her, she's the best!!!

Doctor Appel has an amazing memory of my case and me personally, which benefits me greatly as on of her patients. Her nurse is responsive to my requests in dealing with her. I have trust in her decessions concerning my health and well being. I would strongly recommend her as a Family Doctor.

Left me waiting for an hour and 10 mins. Didn't apologize upon entering the room and only spent 5 mins with me.

Dr. Appel is a knowledgeable, caring, compassionate doctor. She explains everything and includes the patient in healthcare decisions. I have complete trust in her abilities. She is always upbeat and positive. She is an absolutely WONDERFUL doctor!
