Dropped without a refill
I've been seeing Dr. Wong for monitoring my thyroid after a full thyroidectomy after cancer. I missed 2 appointments over 3 years and have just been dropped without an explanation one week before my drugs runs out. When I called asking for an explanation, they simply stated they could not give me one and the decision was not reversible. This is the main reason I'm leaving this review. Additionally, the staff at the practice has been consistently rude. They have missed sending paperwork to various places on numerous occasions. When I was scheduled for radiation therapy, I spent a week calling around trying to make them send the correct paperwork to the correct place.Doctor Wong has been okay, but I think the decision ultimately came from him since the front office kept telling me they needed his permission to get me rescheduled after I missed my appointment. If they truly cared about their patients they would at least refill my prescriptions before dropping me.

Competent, not wonder - with a horrible staff
I started with Dr. Wong 3+ years ago when I first moved to Vegas. I believe him to be a competent doctor, he is not overly compassionate and lacks a bit of bedside manner, but competent + skilled. That being said, I will never go back to his office. My first go-around with his office was atrocious - I would wait 1+ hour for a 5 minute routine check-up and I had to follow-up for everything (labs, results etc) EXCEPT payment (they were on the ball there). I got pregnant and was being seen by a different doctor for 1.5 years. Now post-partum I made my first appt back with Dr. Wong. SAME HORRIBLE EXPEREINCE, 1.5 years later. I just went for my 8:30am appointment to find the front doors locked. There was another gentleman there in the same boat. Both of us had an 8:30 appointments (so there's that) and both standing in front of a locked door. When I finally spoke with a person they said --- "oh yea the office is closed. We called you last week but your voicemail was full so could

I am still waiting on a return call from the office manager. I left numerous messages in November 2020. Now my prescription will not be refilled. Every time I speak to the clerk at the front desk, there is an emergency. The ‘clerk’ is not a nice person. I asked if I should change doctors and she was floored that I asked her that question. Worst front office I have dealt with

SCAM DOC- STAY AWAY. This guy makes you pay $400 upfront before you see him even if you have co-pay. Then his billing dept bills the insurance company & bills you again. His billing dept is disorganized & have no idea what they're doing. They lost our lab results, had us do it again (their fault) and billed us again & sent it to collections. HORRIBLE PLACE. Dr doesnt care, makes you wait for hours in waiting room. Go somewhere else

My daughter has been going to Dr. Wong for over 5 years and honestly, we should have changed doctors long ago but we suffered through because we didn't want to go through the hassle of finding another doctor and starting all over. In general, Dr. Wong seems knowledgable enough but he is often very rude and has no tact. He also hasn't followed up on some nodules my daughter has on her thyroid that still bother her and seem to have grown. He did send her for some tests a couple of years ago but has not bothered with it since and it is getting concerning. He also rushes through appointments quite regularly which is ridiculous because of his constantly horrible wait times. We have had the 1st or 2nd appointment of the day numerous times and still had to wait an hour or longer for the appointment. We have never had a wait less than an hour and more often than not, the wait is 2 hours or more. Today was the final day we will ever make the trip to his office. We had an appointment t

2nd time they cancelled appt due to dr “sick”. Now 9 weeks of trying to get in. Cancelled both Thursday appointments - pattern? We had been driving over an hour to get to Las Vegas for appt. Just turned around because they cancelled appt. After reading other reviews see it weighted as not a dependable dr.

Dr. Wong took the time to explain how each prescribed medicine works in my body and why it is needed for my specific care. I was finally able to understand how to get my diabetes under control. I'm very grateful for finding a doctor who makes sure I understand my condition and works with me on how to manage it. The staff are all genuinely nice and friendly. The wait is not extreme and I haven't experienced any over-booking and waiting for hours to get in and see the doctor. I'm very satisfied

My wife's appointment was for 8:30 AM. After waiting for 1 hour she inquired as to how many other patients were ahead of her. She was told that there was 1 more waiting in the outside waiting area and 3 more in interior waiting rooms AND the doctor was running 1 hour behind to boot. The receptionist told my wife that she should have known that she's have to wait at least 3-4 hours to see the doctor. Huh?? When my wife told the receptionist that she was leaving she didn't seem to care.

The doctor is always late and you usually have to wait more than an hour longer than your appointment time. It makes no sense considering the doctor spends less than 1 minute with you and seems to have a mental time clock to run out when 1 minute is up no matter if your questions are answered or not. He is hard to understand and talks low and does not explain lab results or medications efficiently. I would not recommend this doctor.

I really like Dr. Wong and his entire staff. I have had long waits in his office about 50% of the time and I'm OK with that because he is worth waiting to see. He is a great doctor who knows his stuff and takes the time to explain things if needed. I have had really quick visits because I didn't have any questions and I've had longer visits because I had a ton of questions. I've never left his office feeling like I didn't get the information I needed.

Dr Wong was not a terrible doctor. If he was in a different office, I would probably recommend him to others. However, his staff had worst customer service I've ever had. When I was going to pay, they told me I had to pay immediately (usually, my insurance would bill me afterwards) and I wanted to have the insurance holder pay from their end. They insisted they could not allow such payment. When the insurance holder called to find out what to do, they ignored her phone call. I felt held hostage.
