Dr. Mina Swofford, MD

I have been dealing with possible scabies and went to Dr Swofford to confirm. A RN at my family Dr office had charted that it could be a condition where you think you feel something crawling on your skin. (I could accept that if proven) I break out and have classic the symptoms of mites comes in cycles. The first thing she said to me was 'will you believe what I tell you.' I was so upset that she was prejudice before she would listen to me. She is the worst Dr. I have had ever! She refused to test me. 9 days later still having symptoms. Considering filing complaint with Medical board. That bad!

I haven’t had terrible acne or skin issue so I had always just dealt with it and never saw a dermatologist. But I finally gave in an scheduled an appointment only to have her come in ask maybe 3 questions(one of which being if I had ever seen a dermatologist before), then she only talked to the other person in the room(I’m assuming a nurse), she didn’t even ask anything about my skin or routines, and overall the appointment made me feel like my concerns weren’t valid and I was wasting her time.

I went to Dr. Swofford after a bad experience with anti aging injections at a group party. I truly believed I just wasn't a good candidate for this type of treatment and was afraid to try again. Dr. Swofford has taken baby steps to find a safe treatment that makes a huge difference! I am so happy with the results around my eyes and forehead area. I appreciate her dedication to helping patients find a way.

Dr Swofford is always so friendly and thorough. The office is so good about calling me when there is a cancellation to get me into the office sooner if I need it. Highly recommend Dr Swofford

Dr Swofford recently biopsied my mother for a probable melanoma. As a physician assistant I was very disappointed that she would not do her biopsy that day after telling her it was most likely melanoma (side note: it WAS melanoma). She made her come BACK to do the biopsy despite this. As a provider, this is completely unacceptable to not take the 90 seconds of her own time to excise it to send. Unfortunately most patients don’t know and assume the provider has their best interest in mind, although in this case, running behind on her schedule was more important than diagnosing her melanoma as early as possible…

Dr Swofford and her team display the upmost professionalism while giving excellent care. I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of her services. She takes time to listen, and explain if I have questions. She is personable, and knowledgeable. I would not go to anyone else.

I have been a patient of Dr. Swofford’s for many years. She is extremely professional, very caring and does not recommend any services if they are not absolutely necessary. Her staff is very friendly, efficient and is always accommodating! I have moved a couple hours away and will always make the trip to her office as far as my skin is concerned. I absolutely recommend Dr. Swofford!

Dr. Swofford and her team are wonderful! Always punctual, professional and most importantly personable. They always treated my teenage son with respect, addressing him directly and following-up with my input. I liked that they tried different options before putting him on oral medication for his acne. Dr. Swofford was very concerned for his over-all health. Although acne was the main reason for our visit, she took the time to check for other concerns and addressed those without requiring a separate appointment like other offices do. You will not be disappointed if you choose Dr. Swofford and her team.

This is just an update. I went and saw a different dermatologist who spent at least 30 minutes with me and he immediately diagnosed what was wrong. Gave me some medicine and it cleared it right up have had no trouble since. Unless you have money dr. Swofford is a joke

Having a issue with your skin is personal and can be embarrassing. Dr. Mina Swofford and her nursing staff were wonderful to me--skillful and compassionate, respectful and empowering!!! Their care of my body was professional and kind. Dr. Swofford also worked knowledgeably with what what my insurance would cover and what I could afford. Lots of folks in the waiting room...male/female--and a mix of ages! Thank you all so much!!

Dr Swofford has been my doctor since 1998.I have trusted her to resolve skin cancer several times.I am a healthy 100yr old cancer free patient because of Dr Mina. I want to share my trust & her expert care to others.Her enlightenment of keeping me healthy is invaluable..I have never written a review,but feel now I need to share her with others. She has become a friend and I would love to have her as family.

My mother started seeing Dr Mina Swofford in 1998,early in her practice. She found and treated Mom for skin cancer.(She is now a healthy 100 yrs old). I have been a patient since 1999. Dr Mina found cancer on my nose in 2009, and she had the foresight and concern to send me to a surgeon with expertise in this field. I am cancer free. I have a plethora of good things that she has done for me,She is calm,confident,and has an aura that emits from her which is projected to her amazing staff

I called Dr. Swofford's office on Friday because of a lump that had shown up on my cheek. Her office staff squeezed me in on Monday morning, of which I was truly appreciative of!!! She diagnosed the problem, put me on medication, and two days later it's already going away. She even asked me to call and let her know how I was doing a few days later. How caring is that!!!!! I would absolutely recommend her to anyone. Dr. Swofford and her staff all rock!!!

Dr. Swofford is very professional and intelligent. She has treated my whole at a time or two. She works well with you for a plan and is very patient. If you need a procedure she is gentle. The staff as well are very kind and professional!
