Excellent Doctor!!
First time meeting an oncologist is very nerve wrecking and stressful. The uncertainty of what is coming next was the worst feeling for me. Moral is very important when facing a battle like cancer and I say this from experience with my first wife, and I wasn't feeling to optimistic. From the moment I met Dr Barve I started feeling confident that whatever I had to do to fight my battle I was going to in the best possible way. She explained to me all my options truthfully in a kind and professional positive manner. She spoke to me and my wife in a way that we both understood that took the guess work out of the usual Dr visit. She truly cares about her patients and wants what's best for them no matter the situation. To me she is like a second mom even though I'm in my 40's she is not afraid to put her foot down about how I should take care of myself and setting and keeping my goals regarding my health. She truly is a God sent and would highly recommend Dr. Barve !!

Oncologist
Dr. Barve has always treated myself as if I were her only patient, though I have observed her treating other of her patients equally. She clearly identifies problems on my PETscans and discusses the implications of any changes.

Dr. Barve is always prepared to discuss my health. She studies the charts and lab reports. Her questions and conversations make me comfortable knowing she is concerned about my health. I have been under her care since 2007 and as my cancer developed in 2013, she has consistently gained my trust in her knowledge. She remains on top of the subject of multiple myeloma. It is impressive that she is sought worldwide to share her knowledge. I am most grateful to be under Dr. Barve's care.

She saved my life
I went to Dr Barve initially, in 2018, with some oddball symptoms that I (and she) suspected were autoimmune related. Then she noticed my swollen ankles and ran tests that revealed a rare blood disorder, amyloidosis. Nine months of chemo and a stem cell transplant later and I am in complete remission. I am eternally grateful, and I like Dr. Barve personally. She is efficient, thorough, and kind. And, incidentally, the infusion room at this Texas Oncology office is very pleasant and the nurses lovely.

above & beyond concern and care
Dr. Barve was concerned as well as knowledgeable and informative, guiding us through the steps and options involved in our treatment. She explained what to expect and how to contend with side effects as well as tempering expectations in a realistic manner. We highly recommend her to anyone facing difficult health care choices and have given her business card to others who are facing cancer treatment. Five-star rating for this wonderful doctor.
