Dr. Miroslav Bobek, MD

Dr. Bobek is the greatest spine surgeon and an even better person! My husband was debilitated from a herniated disc in his back for two months with almost weekly ER visits. He couldn't sit, stand or walk. He had lost 25lbs. He had severe sciatica. We had seen multiple doctors and none were helpful and even misdiagnosed the problem. Dr. Bobek got us an appointment right away. He diagnosed the issue and had surgery scheduled immediately. Dr. Bobek is such a caring person and checked in on us throughout the surgery and post op. The day after surgery my husband is eating, standing and walking! Dr. Bobek is an absolute miracle and we are so blessed to have him!

Very disappointing. No improvement in pain after surgery, and did not get an appointment with the surgeon post-op. When we left a message with the office manager, she never returned the call. That was an unprecedented unpleasant surprise: the office manager did not follow through. Saw the mid-level providers, but the surgeon himself did not contact us, which seemed highly unusual in the setting of a suboptimal outcome. Finally, six months later, the office called on the day of an appointment with the doctor to say that they didn't have the second MRI available that day to review, so we gave up trying to see the doctor. Possibly we could have rescheduled, but were discouraged by that time.

Dr. Bobek knows his patients and really hears what they say about their concerns and what is important to them. His personal skills are well matched by his clinical skills and knowledge

If you have a significant neurosurgical problem you could do no better than see this gentleman!

Dr Bobek is professional, caring, a good listener and communicator Surgeon.

Amazingly almost always on time and upbeat. A delight to have a Specialist listen to the patient's concerns. He is always up to date with the current chart notations. Suggestions are always given and appointments are long enough to advise next steps of treatment.

Dr. Bobek is widely regarded as one of the elite spine surgeons in our state, and possibly the country. He is also very down to earth and extremely caring and humble.

Dr. Bobek is extremely present and focused. Even though he probably has to do the same or similar things to evaluate each patient, the overall feeling is that he is there fully, only for me. It is an artform and yet, one senses it is exactly who he is. What a Blessing:)

I'm struggling with chronic low spine pain and related issues. Dr. Bobek is attempting to help me move forward. Regretably, the insurance company sent me a notice today that the injections procedure with Dr. McGill was denied. Dr. Bobek has this notice and I was told he will review it, possibly appeal it.

The doctor was very good aty explaining my options and personable.

Dr. Bobek's expertise, insight and skill as a surgeon have changed the quality of my life exponentially. So grateful to him and his staff for quickly and decisively moving forward to a much-needed surgery with a minimal amount of hassle or red tape. Dr. Bobek has done seven surgeries on me. He has always been kind and compassionate and treats me like a human being rather than one more messed up body to fix. He explains things well, answers all of my questions thoroughly, and takes the time needed to make sure I understand the procedures. He never seems impatient, even when I have had many questions. I have had excellent results from all the surgeries he has performed. Neurosurgeons have a reputation for acting like they are one step below God. This is definitely not true of Dr. Bobek. He is very personable, with a sense of humor. I see many health care providers and Dr. Bobek is at the top of my list of excellent provider. I think it is also telling that the nurses in the hospital also seem to have a great deal of respect for him and find him easy to work with. The other staff at the clinic are also very professional in all my encounters with them. I would definitely recommend Dr. Bobek and SONS to anyone needing a neurosurgeon.

Dr. Bobek was very easy to talk to about my back pain. He listened carefully without interrupting and was very thorough. He made sure to follow through with my insurance company , filing an appeal when they wanted to take measures other than the necessary surgery. He did an excellent job on the surgery and I was happy to have it done and have excellent results. Also, he is a very cheerful person and I appreciated his friendliness. It was encouraging. I have had consultative visits, surgery and follow up for L4-5 and L5-S1 disc disease. He was always punctual and the visits were very efficient and effective. I am a retired physician in the area and have worked with him both professionally and as a patient and in all interactions he has always been thoughtful, compassionate, and understanding. I have full faith in him and would recommend him withour reservation.

I was very impressed with Dr. Bobek as well as his staff. He explained my condition very well and have me my options.

I had a disk L4 that was pushing on my sciatic nerve with a couple pieces of tissue that had broken off. My right hip, top of my thigh, down to my knee was beyond on fire. Pain level 0-10 this was 12. I could not walk upright. Bent over at a 90 deg. angle was how I got around for a couple days until surgery. When I woke up, the pain was down to a 3-4. A week later no pain at all. I started back at work (construction) 4 weeks later a couple hrs. a day. 6 weeks later all is well. Dr. Bobek also did my C4 in my neck 5 years ago that was reeking havoc with my left arm. Same conclusion there. The staff is beyond great And I highly recommend anyone who needs any type of neuro surgery to consult with Dr. Bobek and SONSA. I can not say enough good things about this group.
