Immature
Everyone was great except for Dr Mitchell Kaye. I asked for a chest x ray as a 5 year check up on my lung surgery. He told me it was not medically necessary, insurance wouldn’t cover it, and he wouldn’t do surgery if he saw something. I told him I know it’s not necessary but I would like it for my own peace of mind, I am comfortable covering it without insurance, and I would not request he do surgery. He refused to take the x rays and threw one of the biggest tantrums I have seen by an adult. He handles disagreement very poorly.

Stay away
I agree with the bad reviews. I will never forget the appointment I had with him. Urgent care had given me a diagnosis of bronchiectasis, a very serious illness, that I was following up on. I was asked to first blow into the spirometer but could not sustain my breath for the required time needed for the test. Dr. Kaye decided he therefore would not accept me as a patient. That was it. He may as well have said why don't you just go somewhere and die. What a disgusting excuse for a medical doctor. I am very fortunate to have received quality care elsewhere.

Do not see Mitchell Kaye!
I was having difficulty sleeping. I would wake up gasping for breath. I saw dr. Kaye, he removed the fluid surrounding my right lung, but had no clue as to why it was there. He then sent me to the sleep center. I tried calling him several times after that, but he never once returned my calls. After two months of being miserable and not being able to sleep, and no response from this hack. I consulted another pulmonologist. After my first visit he immediately sent me to get an echocardiogram. In the middle of the Echo, a doctor came in and said I was having heart failure and had me go directly to the hospital. I spent six days at united hospital for heart failure. I could have had a heart attack at any moment. The second pulmonologist I saw probably saved my life. See anyone except dr Mitchell Kaye!

When I saw Dr. Kaye, he was very rude. He seemed that he didn't care of how I felt. I was apx #10 overweight since being on Prednisone which causes water retention. He flat out said you are overweight. Loose some weight. I wish they had questionnaires for their providers. Terrible visit. THUMBS DOWN!

Efficient, effective, informative, with some funny moments providing you have a sense of humor and not a snowflake. He obviously is very knowledgeable and thorough but fast. Felt in good hands.

Dr. Kaye has managed my chronic lung condition for 15 years. He is realistic, empathetic, innovative and funny. He acts as my partner and cheerleader in living with this disease. Sure, he runs late as the day goes on, but he is worth the wait. The waiting room is small and drab, but I'm there for medical care, not interior design. The staff is all caring and professional.

In my visit, as a patient advocate accompanying a young female to visit Dr. Kaye, he was beyond arrogant, disrespectful, and unprofessional. His recommendations were equivocal, his service was rushed, and he lacked empathy. I would have to add that he appears to have anger management issues, be sexist and ageist, and I believe that it would have been even worse had I not been there as witness.

Very unprofessional to the point of being aggressive. Awful bedside manner, consultation was inadequate and staff was unpleasant. Would never go back.
