Great Podiatrist Who Knows his Craft
Very good: he explains procedures and alternative treatments and is current in medical therapy methods, he is very calm and has a great personality - albeit you have to generally find a medical professional agreeable, and yes, they too are people -, appointment scheduling works great and most appointments are on time, the support staff is helpful and friendly, everyone seems knowledgeable and you can feel a general team support and the professionalism. I have only been at his N. Andover office, so the next comment is NOT about all of Dr. Wachtel's office location: the office in North Andover is a bit crammed and tidier organization of the front and reception desk would help the visual appearance tremendously.

Will not return
We had an appointment at 9am,first appointment in the morning. When he came in proceeded to get himself coffee,go into his office, finally at 9:20 we were seen. Absolutely no concern for patient who went to him after having an infection with an 11 day hospital stay. Entire visit was approximately 3 minutes. He never asked any questions nor did he ask if my husband had any concerns or questions. A complete waste of time, we will not be returning.

Dr. Wachtel has been treating me for about two years now in conjunction with the wound clinic saved for my big toe from amputation. I see him routinely for diabetic foot care anf he is always professional and personable and his office staff are outstanding. I managed a cardiology practice and I know what good service is. I would not consider any other podiatrist in the area. He is outstanding and I do not use that term lightly.
