Prescribed immunotherapy when CANCER FREE
Mother diagnosed with small cell lung cancer 6 years ago. Took her to Stanford for chemo and radiation prescription. Dr Eldaly followed Stanford prescribed chemo regimen with Stanford radiology afterward out of Turlock. Five and a half years of 3 month interval CT scans later through Dr. Elday's office, he now wants my mother to be on Keytruda, an immunotherapy drug that treats various types of cancer. Problem is, my mother is CANCER FREE! As soon as Dr Eldaly ordered and set appointments for her immunotherapy treatment, I set an appointment with her Doctor at Stanford. Scans were forwarded and appt set to review. CANCER FREE, no need to continue with 3 month CT scans, and did not give the OK to move forward with Keytrude treatment through Dr Eldaly. Told us to have a yearly CT scan and that is all. History: In 2019 Dr Eldaly first tried to prescribe immunotherapy for my mother based on a scan and we went to her doctor at Stanford. No return of cancer then either.

Dr. Eldaly has been caring for me for the past year. He took some getting used to, because he isn’t overly personable or outgoing. But he always takes the time to explain treatments and answer any questions. I found him to be a very competent, caring doctor, and would recommend him to anyone!

I would not recommend Dr Mohamed E. Eldaly (Emanuel Specialty Care Medical Oncology -- Turlock, California). Our mother received treatment from Dr. Eldaly and she did not get the care she deserved. When a particular treatment was not working for months he refused to listen to the family and try a different treatment. When she was not eating, and was sleeping all the time and her body was shutting down, he then decided to change the treatment. Sadly too late. When we called to tell him and his staff how bad she was doing and we pleaded with them to try something different, his dismissive reply through staff was, “If she’s doing so badly take her to emergency.” Through this process Dr. Eldaly was arrogant, condescending, and dismissive. His staff was unhelpful, uncaring and many times would not return our calls. When she was prescribed a cancer fighting drug sometimes it would take weeks to receive it. I wonder how much longer my mom would have lived with better care.

He never spoke to us about my wife's treatment. When I asked about nutrition he said dont eat chili. One week after a follow up visit and blood panel with Dr. Eldaly, I had to rush my wife to emergency for terrible back pain! Cancer had spread from lung to her spine, cause spine to fracture. Cancer also spread to kidney & liver. My wife was sent home with Hospice to die. I contact Eldaly, Staff said nothing he could do & not interested in her condition! My wife passed away 18 days later..

Dr Eldaly is a good oncologist. He is always thorough and caring, he listens and the Emanuel Cancer Center is really nice. He took very good care of me during chemo and chose excellent pre-meds so that I didn't have any nausea. He sees me frequently when I am having problems and makes sure that I get what I need as a cancer patient. Plus I get all of my labs there at the cancer center and he checks my labs carefully.

Horrible doctor, never explained what was going on, didn't pay attention. Doesn't care about the patients or their well being. Doesn't take the time to actually see the patients problems or lab work.

My mother was treated by Dr Eldaly after Dr Nobile left the office. He never spoke to our family regarding my mother's treatment and we had to pressure the nurses for information. My mother was always with a family member 100% of the time and finally when we called the ethics department regarding our concerns he called the nurses station instead of our phone numbers and had the nerve to tell me I should spend more time with my mother. Unprofessional and has no sympathy for patients/family.
