I have no complaints about Dr. Ashraf, he seemed to genuinely care about my wellbeing, and trusted me to make decisions about what medications I wanted or didn't want to take. I left the 2211 Whitehorse Mercerville Rd practice when I learned about a new policy whereby secretaries will only follow up once if a patient misses scheduling a new appointment. I think this is a risky policy, because when people are depressed things like following up on phone calls become exponentially more difficult. When I expressed my concern, I was told that some patients complain about being called, and that it's to reduce the burden on the secretaries (which I'm not denying is a large one). If you're in a place where keeping up with appointments and scheduling is easy, than this isn't important. But if there is a risk that not being followed up with might mean that you'll run out of meds, or spiral negatively, I recommend finding a practice that will follow up to make sure you're ok.
