Great Doctor! I recently checked in at a local hospital with a fever and a run-down condition. I thought it was a carry over from a gal bladder operation I had about six months ago. I was destined to stay for 3 days with an army of doctors and nurses asking me questions, running blood tests, MRIs and a confusing aray of reports. Dr Firozi was on the hospital team as my gastronomic specialist. Most of the doctors were rather upset because they could find nothing wrong with me. I was finally discharged but Dr Firozi stayed on the trail and called me at home several time. He set up an endoscopic procedure and found that I had several polyps with evidence of recent bleeding. The polyps were removed and my strength and overall health have completely recovered. It is to his dogged pursuit of my problem that solved the issue. Thank you Dr Firozi!

Dr. Firozi first did a phone call with me due to COVID restrictions and I live 600 miles away from St. Louis. After explaining my symptoms, he then saw me in his office. He determined that I needed an upper GI. During the procedure, he found that my esophagus had narrowed and that I had lots of infection in my stomach and cysts on my pancreas. After the biopsy returned, he called me and took time to answer all of my questions, he explained that it wasn’t cancer and thoroughly explained how he was going to treat the infection. He’s a first rate doctor!

Dr. Firozi was appointed to deal with my son’s case of esophogitis. Every interaction included him acting as if he couldn’t be bothered to answer questions, was in a hurry to get somewhere else, and offered very little in the way of finding a cause and appropriate treatment. He completely skipped one follow up appointment. Calls, texts, questions routinely go unanswered.

He is the first GI doctor I've had to take my disease seriously. I've been undertreated for the first 10 years of having UC, and I had no idea it wasn't normal until he started treating me. His office seems to be the only doctor's office that actually answers their phone which is great, and Ledjon and Aurel are friendly and helpful. He saved my life when I was hospitalized last year for Boerhaave syndrome. I've been hospitalized three times and each time he was there every day helping me.

dr firozi was recommended by my primary physician and my first impression of dr firozi was that he was all business. my second encounter with dr firozi was at his office where i found him to be more personable. he took the time to explain my results and took additional time to offer some insight into problems that i might encounter as i age as well as how to be proactive. i will be returning to dr firozi for my future gastrointestinal needs and am very comfortable recommending him..

Did very little examination, and the initial visit was nothing more than a five minute conversation. I was in significant pain and experiencing severe symptoms, yet his best idea was to give me over the counter aids. Second visit was started by him suggesting a procedure that is expensive. They did not inform my referal was not finished. Result was no insurance coverage, with no guidance or help. Turns out he missed the signs of a now diagnoseious illness. Won't be going back.
