Dr. Mohammad Khan, MD

Dr.Khan has been a wonderful doctor. He has been able to stabilize my condition in highly professional and caring manor. I highly recommend him.

I wouldn’t recommend this doctor. He doesn’t seem to have an understanding of neurodiversity affirming practices and has a very outdated understanding of child development.

This was -- by far -- the most unprofessional mental health practitioner I have ever experienced. We were there to manage medication for my son with ADHD. In less than 20 minutes on a zoom call with my son -- where he did nothing to build rapport with him and asked such questions as "if you are happy then why are we here?" Dr. Kahn made a casual declaration that my son OBVIOUSLY has Aspergers. Except, it is not obvious to me, or the in-depth testing we had done with a neuropsychologist. When he asked about my parental concerns, he indicated that every one pointed back to a "clear" sign that he has "a touch of Aspergers." I have spent weeks trying to understand if every other Dr and teacher is wrong and I've come to the conclusion that Dr. Kahn was not thorough, casual with his diagnosis of something serious, used out-dated terminology no longer recognized in the DSM, and the bottom line is, HE GOT IT VERY WRONG.

During COVID, it was difficult finding a psychiatrist with availability and good reviews. Initially when I called his office, he was not accepting new patients. A few months later, I called again and was able to get a new patient appointment and I'm so glad that I called. He listens carefully, asks a lot of questions to assess the patient to determine the best treatment plan. I'm really glad he offers psycotherapy because often, with psychiatrist, I feel the medication management appointments aren't long enough for them to determine when to decrease the medications. It feels like he cares about long-term remedies and not just about continuing the prescriptions.

This was one of the most unpleasant experiences I have ever had with a doctor. He cares very little about patient concerns with medications. This doctor was very unprofessional when asked about dosage questions and tried to exert their power as a doctor in order to influence patients personal medical decisions.
