Dr. Mojgan Zafary-Daftary, MD

For years, I had known that I did not want children and had been with another, previous doctor who questioned my motives, understanding, and ability to decide for myself about sterilization. Dr. Zafary-Daftary NEVER questioned my self-determination and helped me feel comfortable asking questions about the procedure and she successfully completed it with no issues and an easy recovery. Then at a follow-up to the sterilization, she made sure to ask me about any changes to my health history or family health history. With this prompting, I casually mentioned my sister's cancer diagnosis that I thought wasn't relevant. Dr. Zafary-Daftary immediately referred me to a geneticist and breast imaging. Because of her, I was diagnosed early with the BRCA1 gene mutation and have now taken the important steps to reduce my high cancer risk and address a mass they found in my breast after her referral. I am so grateful for her diligence, kindness and excellent commitment to timely and in-depth care.

Dr. Zafary-Daftary has been my physician for over 10 years. She is amazing!
