Missed PNEUMONIA!
I had pneumonia which was confirmed shortly after by a CT scan ordered by another doctor. He immediately assumed the coughing was all in my head. He prescribed gabapentin and sent me in to have some sort of therapy to stop coughing as if it were a tick. In other words, he just assumed my horrible coughing was all in my head and couldn’t figure out I had pneumonia which for a pulmonologist should’ve been pretty easy. I would avoid him.
