Dr. Mona Shihadeh-Smith, MD

With just two visits with Mona Smith, I was completely disturbed by her interactions both times. She made it clear she had no interest in hearing much of what I had to say, she cut me off, hurried me, and undermined most everything I said. I recently brought my toddler in due to a persistent and lingering cough. I asked her three times to have a look at her throat as her tonsils appeared red and enlarged. The third time I asked her, she finally did so and condescendingly said, “They are tonsils…”. This was just one of the remarks she made in the time we interacted, less than 2-3 min in total. I've never written a review before, but feel this deserves attention and I imagine this isn't the standard of care that Hometown Pediatrics would be ok with. I was a bedside nurse for 15 years, and I have a general expectation of how to treat patients. A little bedside manor goes a long way. Something tells me I'm not the first to review as her schedule for next-day appointments was fully open.
