Dr. Monica Dhar, MD

I recently took my daughter to see Dr. Dhar for a well visit. Everything went routinely. My daughter has above average height, weight and BMI. I was told her weight was "fine" and asked about her school and athletic activities. I reported that my daughter takes her vitamins every day, eats her fruits and veggies and drinks breakfast essential shakes every day. I also reported that she is ahead of her class academically. My daughter also participated in a competitive run. Dr. Dhar told me she had no concerns. Her report stated that my daughter requires exercise counseling, dietary surveillance and dietary counseling. This report is not a reflection of my daughter's heatlh. It is not congruent with the verbal report I received from Dr. Dhar.

She is the worst! Due to her not listening every single time we brought our son in, and let me tell you it has been multiple times, we are now dealing with a health condition that could have been treated many months ago. This is causing us to see therapists and specialists. She has made me feel like I am the worst mother every time I have left her office and constantly argues with me about arbitrary things and I am forced to spend time triple checking and calling her office to give the information that proves her wrong. Her office staff are very rude as well. We have only started to get somewhere after a specialists office called her office directly and voiced their concerns (after I explained everything to them.) Thank god they listened.

This is by far the worst person I have ever dealt with, if I could give 0 stars I would. When my son was 8 months old, she forced me to be admitted to the hospital with him for "failure to thrive". My son was chubby, happy, and exclusively breastfed. I was 20 years old and she told me I was too young to know how to take care of a baby. She threatened me and told me she was going to get my son taken away because I wasnt married & couldnt be a good mother to my child. She IS AWFUL

Dismissive, didn't look at child, demanded parent draw a picture of size of spit up even after parent explained they didn't know the size a size it runs down child's front or gets caught by burp cloth, talked about symptoms that were not present and made parent feel bad about brining child in
