Retailer with a medical degree
Dr. Halem's office struck me as more of a business than a medical practice. She mentioned that I might benefit from one of her branded skin-care products. At checkout, an attendant asked me whether I'd like to buy it. (I declined.) She did do a good job of removing a flesh-colored baby-ladybug-sized bump on my nose; she got it all and it didn't develop a scar later. It was a cosmetic procedure. I would hesitate to go to her for any type of health or medical problem, however.

BEWARE
While this physician seems nice, she has one of the most dismissive and immoral personalities I have ever experienced. I would NEVER recommend her.

Dr. Halem removed a basal cell carcinoma from the side of my nose in late January 2021. I waited in her office from 10 am until 5pm. She assured me that everything would be done in one day. While the surgery took place around 11:30 am, I waited and waited until 5 pm when she said she COULD finish but it might be better to wait two more days until morning b/c sewing everything up would take 1 1/2 to 2 hours more. When I came back in two days it took her only 30 minutes, her receptionist being the helper. The method she chose turned out to disfigure my nose considerably. It leaned to one side and scrunched to the inside and left a terrible scar. I eventually went to someone else who sent me to a facial plastic surgeon/ENT MD to help me. I am still recovering and it will still take longer to finish my recovery. I never felt Dr. Halem was honest with me or cared very much for my concerns, just saying"everything is fixable". It wasn't!!

Was referred to Dr. Halem for a simple procedure during the onset of the Covid pandemic. The scheduling, receiving the treatment and communication etc. were fine but this doctor's office did not have protective protocols in place when other practitioners were already extremely cautious and careful about protecting their patient's and their staff's well being. I did not make an issue out of this but it was upsetting.

Dr. Halem is an incredibly arrogant and rude doctor. After visiting her for severe acne, I was left disappointed and frankly offended by the way she treated me. Never have I seen such disrespect from a physician. She had me wait over an hour for my appointment and couldn't muster even an apology nor an introduction. She clearly wanted me to make the appointment quick. In addition, she hawks her own products and this seemed to affect her advised course of treatment. Would never recommend.

this review isn't in reguards to the facialist in the office. I have not seen Dr. Halem and don't think I will be. I went in to find out about a medical facial. I thought it would be the type where I showed my concerns and would get a yes or no as to a facial helping. Instead I was handed a mirror and asked to make a frown and to be told I need Botox in my forehead and fillers in my cheek. 1. When the conversation started I said I want interested. 2. I'M IN MY EARLY 20s. STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!!
