Terrible practice !! BEWARE
WE have been a patient at the office for the last three years. Until recently I had not needed anything except a annual exam. With a clear urgent problem I needed to see my doctor. I tried to get an appointment for two weeks. Finally given an appointment after calling for 2 weeks. They gave me a cancelation appointment and I came home from a family Christmas trip 1 day early to make the appointment. When arrived the office staff said I would be able to make another appointment in three hours. Two hours later waiting I had to leave. When called to make another appointment the office manager called me a 'bully' and the 'doctor makes her own schedule' ' we just make the appointments'. QUOTE 'look we did you a FAVOR getting you in. you will just have to wait or leave' NEVER AGAIN !!!

Great Experience
GYN visits tend to be traumatic for me and I typically avoid them... but periodically my conscious gets me and I go. (I know they are important). Been to several gynecologists.... none made me as comfortable as Dr Meyer. She was bright friendly and sympathetic to my anxiety. She explained everything well and was so gentle. For the first time I felt comfortable. Her staff was efficient and friendly. I am so glad I found her. Definitely highly recommend her.

Typical healthcare
The US healthcare system is messed up for sure. But Dr. Meyers office is part of it. I showed up for my appointment today only to find out they are no longer in my plan. So the appointment will be 300-500. They don’t know if I would have out of network coverage but I can call the number on the back of my card. Really? Thanks. It is really obnoxious to not be notified. Put someone on the spot to decide if they want to go with a 300-500 appointment that perhaps they took the DAY OFF of work to go to. No skin off their back. “Pay it or walk out, we don’t care.” was the message. Loud and clear. If they took the time to send a text to confirm the appointment, you would think they could have told me prior to arriving in their office.

Really Bad
I was going to Dr. Meyer for several years. Every single visit to her office was an absurdly long wait time in the waiting room, and then also another 40-50 minutes in the exam room waiting, which for me causes extreme anxiety - which I voiced to the nurse and staff, but they don't care. I finally found a new doctor in NYC who was the opposite experience in every way, and wish I had left sooner. Not only is the in office experience at Dr. Meyer's long and unpleasant, once she is in the room, it's rushed and does not take time to address any concerns. Now having finally had a positive experience at a gyno, I would never ever go back to Dr. Meyer's practice. I also feel sad that having such a horrible experience at her office for several years, made me stop going for my annual, which should have never been the case. With my new doctor, I am almost looking forward to going back next year, that's how much of a difference my experience was.

Finally!
I have had several poor experiences throughout my life with OB/GYN care. I am so incredibly happy to have found Dr. Monica Meyer in Montvale, NJ. She is not only knowledgeable, she is an excellent listener, clearly cares about her patients, and has an excellent way of communicating. Her entire office, including all support staff is wonderful. Highly recommend.

First visit, waited almost 2 hours to be seen. Once I got into the exam room, waited again for actual doctor to come in. Dr. Meyer herself is very friendly. But her office staff are cold and not very friendly. They have zero regards for patient's time. Dr. Meyer sent me out to get testing done. I went ahead and the testing site said the doctor would receive results in 2 business days. I actually received the report in my email that same day. Took the office over a week and a half to call me back. Once they did, they left a message to call them to go over my results. I called back and was put on hold for 10 minutes only to be told that the doctor was not in the office and that she would call me back. I waited and when I called back, the office was closed. Not a good first impression on this office.

If you do mind spending a leisurely afternoon waiting to get in to see the doctor, this is the place for you. Total disregard for patients time. Waiting over an hour or more seems to be the norm. Then wait again once you are in the examination room. A visit is like an all day wasted affair.
