Lack of professionalism
I had a terrible experience with this doctor. My initial appointment was fairly standard—she ordered some tests, which I completed. However, during my follow-up visit, she didn’t have all my results yet and promised to call me to discuss the next steps. That call never came. After waiting for a month, I attempted to contact her for three days straight. On the third day, I called multiple times. Shockingly, when someone finally answered, they pretended I had the wrong number. I double-checked and called again—same response. When I finally got through, the secretary said she would transfer my call, but after waiting 10 minutes, nothing happened. Frustrated, I tried again, only to be told once more that I had the wrong number. This level of unprofessionalism was unacceptable. After expressing my frustration, I hung up. Shortly after, the secretary called me back on the same number, suddenly able to connect me to the doctor. She told me to wait a few more weeks for another call and addit

Lake of knowledge
I had an unfortunate experience with Dr. Monika Manonat the Lake of Knowledge. She prescribed the wrong treatment, which I believe was more about making money than actually helping me. Her approach was unprofessional and rude, and I strongly advise anyone seeking medical care to get a second opinion from a different doctor. Please be cautious if you're considering treatment from her.

Great specialist!
She has treated me over two decades, and deserves much of the credit I feel as well as I do. I recently noticed she gave much more explanation than usual and looks the most rested ever. The office is a masterpiece of efficiency and organization with pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. Dr. Mannan is an excellent specialist in her field. She was recommended to me by a friend long ago, and I'm fortunate to still be her patient. Needless to say the negative reviews don't reflect my experience with Dr. Mannen.

While I am relatively a new patient of Dr. Mannan she quite possibly saved my life. She noticed during a routine appt something concerning on my thyroid and ordered to have it checked. Well, it turned out to be a thyroid cancer. Later on several illustrious endocrinologists, surgeons, biopsy specialists from Johns Hopkins Hospital tried to manually feel it and couldn’t even though they knew exactly where it was due to sonogram/CT scan. It was due to Dr. Mannan’s intuition and foresight that the doctors were able find out about my thyroid cancer without slightest symptoms at Stage I.

Doctor lacks knowledge
Dr. Mannan is not the right doctor if you need a complicated case diagnosed. She is incapable of handling anything beyond the basics. She failed to correctly diagnose my case and wasted my time.

Extraordinary experience
I have been treated by Dr. Mannan's for Graves disease for 18 months. After it became clear that I needed to have my thyroid removed, I mentioned a surgeon who had performed the same operation on a friend of mine several years ago. Since the surgeon was personally unknown to Dr. Mannan, she called to ask about his experience (43 yrs!), etc., and while they were discussing my case, her office manager called me on another line so that Dr. Mannan could relate the conversation to me. I was so surprised that she did this for me—a first in my life—and after my surgery, the surgeon told me it showed how much Dr. Mannan respected and cared for her patients!!! I completely agree and would recommend Dr. Mannan to anyone.

I was referred to an endocrinologist after some blood work came back abnormal. Her office could see me without several months wait so I went somewhat hesitantly without having another doc's recommendation of Dr. Mannan. I was pleasantly surprised and very glad I made the appointment. The staff was friendly but the main thing was the doctor herself. She took over 20 minutes with me in the exam room going over all the blood work, asking lots of questions about me, and then doing an exam. I never felt rushed and always felt like she cared and was really trying to understand the issue. She was patient, friendly and answered my questions without giving any sense that I was wasting her time. For me, this type of temperament in a doctor is critical. She ordered add'l blood work and ensured I got a follow-up appointment quickly to go over over those findings. I read some of the less positive reviews posted and am glad I ignored them. I would recommend her to my friends.

Surprisingly Pleasant Experience – Jan 01, 2022

The experience at my first visit with Dr.Mannan exceeded my expectation. Her office reception was professional, patient oriented and delivery of high customer service . Dr. Mannon performed a clinical examination that was thorough , careful and at high level. Also it was evident Dr.Mannan respects her patients and is very careful .She is a diagnostician without treating her patient as a “diagnosis “ , Dr .Mannan had the my lab work done on site .This is a beneficial for her patients to have their labs work performed by on-site without a contracted third part lab service which is offsite and impersonal .Also, I enjoyed the convenience of an on site lab . In closing , after my first visit I have returned for my second appointment at Dr. Mannon’s office .I look forward to a long term patient relationship . She is welcomed addition to my medical team of highly competent specialists ,and patient oriented clinicians with a strong administrative staff providing continuity of care .

This office was very incapable in the handling my Referrals and Appointments. Also, there was a HIPPA Violation (Medical Records Security) with the processing of my paperwork orders! Monika suggested that I get further testing with a concern I had. All is well with that however, she told me that she would give the Technician who did the first Test a call to confirm some things. She said to me that she would give me a call by the end of the week with an update. Well, she did not! I had to call Her and left A message. She later returned my call and went straight to voice mail. She stated, "I called the Technician and will be sending you an Order Referral for further testing. She NEVER EVER gave me an update on what the Technician's Findings were! This is how I know for certain that she DID NOT Contact that Technician AT ALL! I Never received the order via mail. HIPPA VIOLATION!!! Got mailed to the wrong address!!! None of the blood pressure machines work in this office!!!!

Dr. Mannan is a very empathetic, knowledgeable and caring doctor. After reading some reviews, it seems that people are put off with her realistic approach to ensure your health. I prefer the straight forward approach. It's a matter of life and death. She does an outstanding job of explaining the medicines and the interactions with my body. I will continue to go to her even ifI get a stern warning about taking my meds and seeing her every 3 months. She's just making sure that I'm doing well.

Dr. Mannan is very difficult to deal with. Her office is supposed to be open 8:30 to 4:30, but they take a two hour lunch break and it's impossible to get them to answer the phone at all in the afternoon. Dr. Mannan cannot seem to get the hang of filing prescriptions electronically. She says she'll do it, but never does. She also refused to approve my prescription renewal until I did additional bloodwork and made an office visit although I'd just done that a few months prior. Don't bother.
