A co-worker told me how much Dr. McCary's lower back surgery helped him. I was optimistic about my consultation to get some relief from spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, etc. However, he explained that there was nothing he could to to help me. Maybe he was right.

Excellent and thorough surgeon
Dr. McCrary performed a lumbar laminectomy for my husband and did an excellent job. There was an emergency at the hospital with the air handler not working and he was patient to wait for hours to be able to perform the surgery for my husband. My husband feels a lot better right after surgery, with most of his pain and pressure around his hips and legs gone. He felt immediate relief! My husband was hesitant and waited 2 years before he made the decision to do the surgery. Now he'd only wish he got it done sooner! Excellent surgeon!

He looked at my x-rays from 2004, rushed through the exam, was not thorough. Did not offer any assistance for my neck/back burning.. just said “everything looks good to me” and left.

spent most of the time talking to the nurse, after a bunch of hitting with his mallet, loaded my scans, looked at 1 out of 4 reports, from 4 different MRI locations of spine, then Dr came in, did the same thing, didn't even bother to look at my report or scans, didn't ask about my symptoms, asked who did my ulnar surgery, then told me that all my symptoms must be "medical", ugh ??. Didn't offer to address my arm pain, back, leg hand pain and then left. Awful, left me crying in the room. Horrible

No. No. No. Left confused. Rushed through exam. Not a thorough exam.
