I almost died
Laufer prescribed medications that I didn’t need. He said that my bloodwork showed that I had a thyroid problem and put me on a compounded thyroid medication. He said that I had adrenal issues and put me on compounded “cortisol”. After taking the cortisol, I started having seizures—likely due to the cortisol. An endocrinologist later checked my bloodwork and told me that I had no thyroid or adrenal problems. Laufer had lied. The worst part is that Laufer got me hooked on benozs and wrote a prescription that allowed me to take 12 mg of Lorazepam a day. He cut my dose in half out of the blue and I went into a state of delirium and experienced severe mental health issues as a result. Doctors are supposed to slowly taper you off benzos; not doing so can result in even a coma or death. Do not trust this man to have your best interest at heart. I nearly died under his “care”.

Solid Integrative Doctor
Doctor Moses Laufer is helping me heal my immune and adrenals systems after years of debilitating symptoms. He is an endocrinologist with 30 years of experience and also uses integrative therapies to heal, not just mask symptoms. He is very easy to communicate with and listens to your concerns.

Disappointing consultation. They knew that that I was a new patient with Type 2 diabetes & other auto immune condition that can be treated or managed with weight loss. The doctor should see the patient for the ever-important first time consultation and not an RD who takes it upon herself to turn patients away who want to take control of the weight as a road to health based on what they misconstrued on paper. Seems to deplete the objective. This tells me that the practice only wants to treat 'easy'cases that they can push profitable products as I quote their RD, Robin "we only treat healthy patients who are overweight". As a type 2 diabetic for over 20 years one knows that getting weight under control is part of the battle & its a 22 catch situation. Why have someone get excited about taking control of your life then turn them away because they are "uncomfortable" with one's health conditions and that following their regimented program could exasperate the problem? Appalling!

I was improperly diagnosed by a handful of doctors for years before I came to see Dr. Laufer. By the time I came to see him I could not even hold a fork in my hands or walk very well, and was having full body tremors. I was dismissed by some of my doctors as just being "unhappy". I had to quit my job because I couldn't perform or get out of bed some days. Dr. Laufer properly diagnosed me and began treating me for Lyme Disease which was later confirmed by a positive blood test. He is warm and caring, has a great sense of humor and is always compassionate. He's always honest about prospective treatments, telling me pros and cons so I know what to expect so I never feel pressured to hurry through my appointments. He's well-educated and up-to-date with various treatment plans so I always feel I have options. My quality of life has improved significantly under his care.I have referred him to several friends and would recommend him to anyone seeking help with difficult conditions.

Dr. Moses Laufer is a wonderful doctor. I have been his patient for 11 years and I think my life would have been tragic if he had not became my doctor. His bed side manner is wonderful. And what he knows and does as a doctor is incredible. He is wonderful to talk to, understanding and I am grateful for him.
