ABSOLUTELY AMAZING
Absolutely Amazing! Dr. Kassahun is very skilled, professional and very competent in his field. He literally saved my husbands life, in a four hour surgery, when no one else wanted to touch him. I can't thank him or his staff enough for the excellent care my husband received. I can't praise this physician enough and wish there were more physicians like him.

I left totally baffled at what happened
I just received a robo call from his office stating that I missed my appointment last week. Not only was I there but I was made to produce identification, my primary and secondary insurance cards and taking 35 minutes to fill out 11 pages of information. And, as a former patient they already had all that information! Only after completing all that paperwork did they inform me that they would not see me for the procedure I had made the appointment for that day and I would have to make another appointment. They could not have cared less about my protest or my discomfort. My regular doctor was able to get me in to see another urologist at another practice the next day and they took excellent care of me. Whether or not Dr Kassahun is a competent doctor, if the bottom line is that he and his staff don’t give a flip about their patients then we should go somewhere else for our care.

Horrible doctor
This doctor doesn’t even have the curtesy to present himself. The full process took 48 seconds, the doctor took 1 minute and 53 seconds in the room.

Genuinely HORRIFIC
I cannot believe the callousness and lack of respect that my elderly father with cancer experienced in this man’s hands. I hope his medical license gets revoked. The fact that he is allowed to practice is upsetting and honestly rather terrifying. I have never seen anyone treat my father as despicably as he did, let alone a medical professional. One star is far too many for the likes of this man.

Has no business practicing medicine
absolute worst experience with a doctor I have ever had. exam was rough and painful and when I was given my diagnosis of cancer, he spent less than two minutes with me. Walked into the room, said "you have cancer", handed me a brochure and said "you can read it if you want", and walked me out of the room. he should not be allowed to be practicing at all and needs to have his license revoked!

Good Doctor
After finding out I had prostate cancer, I did due diligence and got a few other opinions, Medical Oncologist recommended Dr. Kassahun, radiation Oncologist recommended Dr. Kassahun. While I was intimidated by a radical prostatectomy, DR K and robotics sounded like the most effective option. I was pleased when the catheter was removed, and incontinence was not even an issue from day one! Surgical recovery was not a pleasure, but I did expect that and followed his instructions. After three months my PSA was <0.1 all is looking good. Erectile function is slowly returning with help (also expected with a radical). Dr K's staff is helpful and friendly. I very much recommend This Dr. and surgeon to any friend or family member.

Surprised about negative reviews
I was surprised at the reviews regarding Dr K. It was the antithesis of my experience. I first saw Dr K two years ago after realizing the miracle prostrate meds hawked on TV by out of work athletes was a large pile of matter traditionally provided by well fed bovines. Dr K was polite and empathetic. He prescribed meds which, although effective, caused a unintended result of a Blood Pressure drop. Although not life threatening, I called the ofc, I was given another script the same day which did not result in a significant BP drop. I even got a follow up call to check up on my new script. My wife and I are both on the "danger do not get covid list". My script needs updating and I will let you know how the visit goes.

Condescending Doctor
Have seen this doctor twice and both times I found him condescending and in a hurry. This is after I waited 45 minutes in the exam room for him. His attitude was horrible and very unprofessional.

Refused to believe my wife suffers from kidney stones without proof despite urine tests indicating possible kidney stones. All she requested was testing to find out why she gets them. Horrible doctor that shouldn't practice if they don't want to help people.

Unprepared and poor bedside manner, very rushed. Unable or unwilling to answer specific questions regarding the proposed treatment plan. When I asked how were my specific questions not related to the treatment, to please educate me so I could understand, I was told that he had many patients waiting and was not able to spend that kind of time. He finished by asking if I had any other questions? In the meantime I’m at a loss for words, how can you ask that as a physician when you’re not able nor willing to answer questions i have already asked. Unbelievable!

My son is an active Marine visiting home for the holidays. Discovered a lump. Went to Summerlin ER. Was referred to this specialist to be seen immediately. My son was turned away because this doc won't accept my son's active military insurance. We are terrified and don't know what to do. If you are active military, forget trying this doc. Try anyone else.

Dr. Kassahun was extremely professional, kind, and knowledgeable. He is one of the few doctors who said he would take care of me and he did. His team at Summerlin Hospital Medical Center were fantastic. They provided me with the highest level of care. I highly recommend Dr. Kassahun.

Refusing to ever become a patient of Dr. Mulugeta D. Kassahun again, I'm rather surprised and extremely disappointed that he still has his medical license. I strongly encourage everyone to avoid such an uncaring and corrupt charlatan. In my opinion, he's a terrible doctor and a horrible excuse for a human being. My advice is to stay far away from Dr. Kassahun.

He didn’t answer to any questions. He wasn’t ever bothered to listen to me in details about my symptoms. I was appalled to see how can you be an ignorant and doctor at same time. I waited 2.5 months for an appointment due to covid-19 and he rushed me outta there in 4 mins. Asked me to make next appointment in end of June, ignoring my situation who has not peed in 3 months. Now I’m writing this sitting in a ER cuz my DR. in ER wanna know who this genius is .. you ll treat yourself better than him

This Dr has zero compassion, bedside manner, personality and communication skills. I rate him as one of the worst Dr's I've ever had the inconvenience of being in front of. If you're looking for a Dr who cares about you, this is not the Dr you want to see. He could care less about you. As you can see from his past reviews, I'm far from the only person that feels this way about him. I will ask for a second opinion as I will never go back to this stoned cold robot.
