Aneurysm Surgery
Almost 24 years ago Dr. Gunel performed a life saving brain surgery on my Mother and I thank him very much for everything he did. Her aneurysm had ruptured, he was very thorough explaining the procedure to me and my family. We will be forever grateful to him and his team.

Dr. Gunel made some very serious mistakes during my brain aneurysm surgery, and he did not even seem to realize it. Two doctors I followed up with, at NYU Langone and Columbia Presbyterian, could not believe it when they saw my scans post-surgery. Each one said I "would die within months" if my surgery was not re-done. A very scary time and low point in my life (as I had young children) until my aneurysm was repaired in a second surgery. Extremely disturbing that Dr. Gunel is practicing.
