We have been with Dr. Fershtman since he took over Dr. Robinson's practice a few years ago. We loved Dr. Robinson, was so sad to see him retire, but he assured us that Dr. Fershtman would be just as attentive to the care of my children as he had been. Since one of mine has asthma, and the other was born with a developmental delay, I was very concerned. But we have received excellent care with Dr. Fershman, and the staff at both locations (Forest Pediatrics and Lake Area Pediatrics) are exceptional. I never have trouble communicating or making appointments.

Very bad experience. Doctor was terribly rude and refused to listen to my concerns. I’ve never been treated so poorly by a medical professional. Will never return.

Review of Dr. Fershtman ONLY - He replaced the outgoing retiring pediatrician. His bedside manner is gruff. On one visit he placed his stethoscope under the bra of my teenage daughter, without talking to her - just ramming his hand in making her very uncomfortable. The next time we saw him, sometime later, he prescribed an adult dose of antibiotics for my 8 year old. When the pharmacist contacted him, he instructed the pharmacist to fill the prescription as he had written it. The pharmacist warned against such a high dose of antibiotics for a child but legally cannot alter the prescription. Because it was after 5 I had to wait until the next day to speak to the office and have a replacement script called in. While I have no issues with anyone else in the office (they are all great), I will NEVER go back here again.

He came highly recommended and my visit was bad enough I will not be going to the office anymore. Dr. Fershtman spent less than two minutes with us. Said my daughters head was in the 1% and didn’t bother to remeasure to see if something was recorded wrong and didn’t seem at all concerned with this nor any of my concerns. He pretty much told me to just suck it up. I have three kids and I have never had any of them bleed when they received shots. But the nurse managed to make my baby pour blood.
