Dr. Brager helped me get my life back.
I presented with a herniated disc causing debilitating pain. It was determined that surgery was necessary to resolve the issue, due to constant nerve pressure. Surgery was scheduled and I walked out of it pain free. I expected a bit of discomfort during my healing, but I had none!I need to be cautious, but I am so relieved to be back to normal daily activities.Throughout, Dr. Brager and all of the staff were comforting and courteous. I highly recommend this team.

Compassionate, Patient, and Professional
I have had two surgeries performed by Dr. Brager both were successful. The second procedure was fusion surgery, It took me numerous appoints with Dr. Brager to finally make the decision to have the surgery. I was nervous and reluctant to do the procedure because the procedure involved a year for complete recovery. With each of those numerous session Dr. Brager never rushed me out of the office, answered all my questions, and never showed annoyance with my worrying. I am happy to say I am back to my old self, playing pickleball and walking the dog! Life is good.

Highly Recommend Dr. Brager
I recently had back surgery and I highly recommend Dr. Brager, Bridget and the entire team. The office is well run, the appointments start promptly and there is minimal waiting. All the staff are friendly. Dr. Brager and Bridget took the time to talk with me and answer all of my questions. They spoke to me in a way that I could understand without using a lot of advanced medical terms. Hearing back surgery is necessary is a scary thing but their professionalism and knowledge gave me a sense comfort and confidence.

My husband had severe spinal stenosis. Dr. Brager helped him exhaust all options for managing his pain and ultimately surgery was the answer. He underwent a lumbar laminectomy on seven vertebrae to remove stenosis. Within two weeks post surgery, he is walking better than he has walked in 5 years. He has gone from barely being able to sit in a chair to taking walks outside. His quality of life has improved so very much. And, we are so grateful for Dr. Brager, his PA Bridget Haslam, and the entire team.

I highly recommend Dr Brager.
Dr Brager effectively explained my diagnosis so that when I left his office, I knew what my path forward would be. I was experiencing tingling in my legs and knew this needed to be repaired. Dr. Brager diagnosed me with Severe Spinal Stenosis. He explained the decompression procedure and what to expect. Dr Brager put me at ease when he explained that he has performed a thousand of these surgeries. The morning of the surgery feeling nervous, both he and Bridget the PA met with me and helped put me at ease. You have no idea how important that was to me. After the surgery while I was in recovery, Dr Brager called my wife and explained in detail how the procedure went. I was walking the night of the surgery and within a week walking 45 minutes daily. Today is 8 weeks post surgery and I feel great. Extremely grateful to Dr Brager and the team and highly recommend him if your having back issues. Compassionate and caring practice.

Dr. Brager and his associates were easy to talk to as I explained the issues that I was having with my back. After x-rays and an MRI they offered several different treatment I could try and I was very comfortable in making my decision for surgery. The surgery results were excellent and I had absolutely no pain from the time the surgery was completed. I would definitely recommend Dr. Brager to anyone who wants to consult with a doctor concerning their back issues.

I do not recommend Dr. Brager at all.
Dr. Brager showed lack of interest or concern when I saw him. I'm continuing to have symptoms related to a previous diagnosis of spinal stenosis by his CRNP. When I stated my questions and concerns, he barely responded to them. At one point, I said I was concerned if I had a similar issue along w/spinal stenosis. He quickly said, "You don't have that," but offered no explanation nor did he pursue what the problem might be. He would just stare at me, and about 2/3 of the way thru the appointment, he actually asked me, "Why did you come in?" His overall demeanor was unfriendly, cold, and unconcerned.

Dr. Brager and his team (Trisha Duke, CRNP and Bridget Haslam, PA-C) are very kind and compassionate providers. I always felt listened to and had all my questions answered. Dr. Brager is a humble man who truly wants to help his patients feel better. I recently had a lumbar discectomy (L5-S1) and it was a complete success and I’m back to living my normal life!

Jeff was diagnosed with a herniated disc that was pressing on nerves resulting in his not being able to walk. Dr Brager operated on his spine removing the herniated disc, removed a cyst, bone spurs and anything that was applying pressure on nerves in the spinal canal. The surgery was successful and after a two week recovery period Jeff is now walking again and regaining his strength to once again lead a normal life.

Pain Free!
Dr. Brager and his orthopedic spine surgery team at Carroll Health Group are phenomenal. From my first visit I was treated with respect, concern and compassion. I’ve had a sore lower back for three decades. Eventually my sciatica nerve became pinched. The pain was radiating down my left leg. Dr Brager started with X-rays and an exam and anti inflammatory medication. I also needed an MRI. The MRI showed severe impingement. I was in excruciating pain. Dr. Brager recommended a minimally invasive outpatient laminectomy to free the nerve. Dr. Brager was able to schedule my surgery just 2 days later at the Westminster Surgical Center. The nurses and the anesthesiologist explained everything and put me at ease. I walked in to WSC with left leg pain at level 10 and walked into my home about 5 hours later with zero pain. I’m post surgery 3 weeks and feeling great. We should listen to our pain but in most cases we don’t have to live with it. Thank you so so much Dr. Brager!

Doctor Brager gave me my life back! For years I had suffered with extreme lower back and sciatic pain - a debilitating condition that had come to effect every aspect of my life. After seeing many doctors previously I was convinced that it was a life long problem I would just need to accept. Then 3 weeks out from my dream Disney vacation I landed in the emergency room with pain so severe I couldn't even walk. I followed up with Dr. Brager and have never felt so blessed! I told him how going to Disney was my dream and I cried at the thought of not being able to physically make it. He immediately scheduled my surgery for the very next day and assured me we would get there. And he was right!! Not only did my surgery go well and I made my trip, but I've been living pain free ever since. Dr. Brager is the nicest, kindest man and he truly cares for his patients. I don't know what I would have done without him.

I am a 63 year old man whose right shoulder, arm and hand were numb with pins and needles around the clock. I also had lost considerable strength being unable to lift a tub of laundry detergent to put up on a shelf!! I was diagnosed and had Anterior Cervical Decompression surgery done by Dr Brager, Bridget Haslam PAC and team. When I awoke from surgery I immediately realized all numbness on my right side was gone. The surgery was 100% successful. I am and will be forever grateful for the finest care that anyone could ask for. Dr. Brager and Bridget Haslam PAC are the absolute best in my humble opinion.

This man has such a high ego of himself. He would not answer questions or properly diagnose my spinal pain. It turns out I have arthritis in my spine. Once that was discovered I was able to get the proper pain management that I needed. But Dr. Braggart did not help me at all.

I began feeling sharp pain in my lower back mid July 2020. I had a CT scan done & saw a "doctor" in the mid-west where I work. 6 weeks of "it will improve over time" & "surgery really isn't an option" "shots wont help your problem." Frustrated, I flew home to Maryland in early September to work with a Spinal Team close to home. We spent the next 4 months going through different shots, trigger and otherwise with no relief. Surgery was recommended by two doctors but the surgeon "didn't feel surgery would be helpful." We have had X-Rays, MRI's, nerve mapping, every test imaginable. The surgeon suggests we seek another opinion. Insert Dr. Brager - who takes one look at all of the test results and clarifies that this is a "slam dunk" procedure. I had decompression surgery one week later. For the first time in over 7 months I can walk unassisted & stand up straight. The shooting pains in my lower back, buttocks, legs & feet are gone! My only regret is not getting to Dr. Brager sooner.

First let me say that I am super excited to be able to tell you about Dr. Brager and my journey of back surgery. I was referred to Dr. Brager by my good friend who saw me suffering from back pain for months. My condition was so severe that the pain was starting to debilitate me and was altering my lifestyle extensively. I met with Dr. Brager who reviewed xrays and other consultation notes from pain management. Dr Brager suggested surgery and he was very reassuring that I would feel 100 % better. His demeanor and that of his staff was none that I had ever experienced. Fast forward to my second consult. I could hardly walk ,stand for more than 2- 3 minutes and was reduced to pain 24/7. I was ready for the game changer. In December 2019 I had my back surgery. Yes I was scared, apprehensive, nervous and all the other adjectives but I had full trust in God and Dr. Brager. After surgery the effects of success were immediate. My recovery time was remarkable and I am feeling grateful!

On June 8 2019 I pinched my l5 nerve and hit the ground. I could not walk without extreme pain. At the time my insurance plan only had a few surgeons to choose from so I was at their mercy. November 22 2019 I finally had surgery to repair the damage. Much to my surprise it did not work and unfortunately much worse. Somehow a couple days later I got gout. Extremely horrible pain in my foot which led me into the hospital. I had to see the original surgeon and he said somehow I re-herniated L5??? Tried cortisone shots and did not work. Fortunately I ran into my friend Dana Saunders. Talk about great timing!! She referred me to Dr Brager for a second opinion and I thank god for her. Dr Brager scheduled a surgery almost right away but Covid-19 delayed the surgery. Finally July 13 2020 Dr Brager performed the surgery and within a few weeks I was amazed. I am now walking and enjoying life again. Thank you so much Dana and Dr Brager!!!! Highly recommend!!! Trevis Alban
