My son had a pilonidal cyst in June of 2019. We were referred to Columbus General Surgeons and were given Dr. Morse as the provider for a open wound excision surgery. The wound was 9cm x 4cm x 3cm and required a wound vac. He had the wound vac on for 7 weeks. After that the wound never fully healed. He had an open wound for over 1.5 years. In November 2020 the cyst returned. We went to a surgeon that specializes in Pilonidal disease in January 2021. If he would not have had this prior surgery, his outlook for being cured with this special surgery would have been greatly improved. Dr. Morse, like many general surgeons, does not understand this disease. He may be a fine surgeon for other things, but if you have pilonidal disease, go to pilonidal.org and find a specialist.
