Needs new nurses
The lack of compassion, communication & over all patient sensitivity. The assumptions made by the nurses. Patients are already anxious & sometimes embarrassed. No wonder why people don’t schedule preventative care appointments. Nurses making comments about a patients weight, assuming instead of using compassion & respect. Making remarks right before the procedure about them being too big is counterintuitive and beyond insulting. The last thing I remember before going under was being afraid for my life because of comments made. Never again. I felt so judged and scared.

Too busy to speak with family members
Went with family member to have an ERCP with stent removal. I waited in the family waiting area for DR Fahmy to come talk with me about the procedure and what he did. My family member was already back in the same day area so I asked if he would be coming in to speak with me. The attendant stated he would not be because he has a very busy schedule. I think this is very rude and would not recommend him. We have to come back in 3 months because he removed the stents but was unable to retrieve the stone so he placed 2 more stents.

Poor customer service
The ED doctor at Aultman Hospital sent a referral for my Mother to see Dr Fahmy. We will never know if the doctor was good or not because we never received a return call. Their recorded message was almost threatening. It said they will call back in 24-48 hours & multiple requests will get you nowhere. My Mom was in severe pain. I called back because I had no idea if they got the first message. We had already been to ED twice for this pain. She has a very high tolerance for pain so if she says it's a 10+ then I know any average person could not tolerate it.

Dr. Needs liscence suspended and staff fired.
Staff totally incompetent. Didn't tell me I could not drink water before procedure. Had an eyewitness who can coberate this. Then denied it. I am out 2 days fasting. Paid $20 for prep kit and diarrhea all day. Arranged ride and waited over an hour when I had an appointment.

A visit was never made due to office not returning calls! Multiple attempts made over a month to just get an appointment. Total waste of time for us!! We decided to go to another office with hopes of getting better responses with returning calls!! Poor customer service!

I was bleeding internally and noone could figure out why. I had been to 2 other gastroenterologists and no one ould find anything nor did they seem concerned. I called Dr Fahmy's office and the nurse couldn't have been any nicer. They got me into see him and he found the problem quickly. He listens and is very kind and compassionate. I thought for a specialist he was very patient.

Dr Fahmy saved my life. I was so ill and other gastro physicians did both colonoscopy and endoscopy and told me there was nothing wrong with me without even performing a biospy with a 75 lb weight loss. A coworker told me to get to Dr. Fahmy and with one look at my medicines knew that my blood pressure med was causing the issue. He order me to stop this and then did a colonoscopy and determined that it was very severe. I trust Dr Fahmy and his Physician Assistant Diane. They both showed me such kindness when others dismissed me as I was pretending to be sick. God Bless them and I cannot thank them enough for the expert care they provided to me.

I have used Dr. Fahmy in the past. unfortunately, I switched to United Healthcare and, at this time, they don't accept United Healthcare. I had to switch doctors, and, not happy with them, especially their billing department. I would like to go back to his practice. I hope United will contact his office and, enroll his practice.

This physician and his Nurse Practitioner, were so thorough in discovering why my liver enzymes were rising. They found through testing that during a previous fall into something had caused my bile duct to collapse in a spot which backed up bile into my liver. They place a temporary stent which fixed the problem. Amazing. Also Dr. Fahmy came in as I was being prepped for the procedure and actually put a pillow under my head when he noticed that I looked uncomfortable. Very happy with my experience!

I was treated poorly by the billing office. They provided me with an estimate of charges after consulting with my insurer. The actual charges were more than double the quote. They blamed it on an employee who no longer works there and refused to resolve the issue. The services were okay although I never recieved my lab results. Not sure what to think.

Dr. Fahmy saved my life!!!!!!! After a horrible end to a surgery, Dr. Fahmy found the source of my sepsis and put a stent, and later several more stents, in my common bile duct. I now get to see him every 6 months for a checkup due to NASH liver disease. Love Dr. Fahmy. He takes the time to listen and alleviates any concerns. I never feel rushed but yet he never runs far behind schedule. Would recommend!!!!!!!!!!!

I have Diverticulitis and was diagnosed with it by two specialist in Florida, when I started having problems here they did a colonoscopy and said I would need one every three months but never scheduled them or anything. I called to schedule and was told I owe $48.00 of a $4800.00 bill and they will not see me any more. I have never seen anything like it. I would not recommend taking a dog there.
