Salesperson more than a doctor
She uses scare tactics to push sales of vitamin injections and endless testing then charges hundreds just to chat on the phone to discuss test results and she refuses to give practical advice or protocols, preferring to stretch everything out until you’ve spent five figures and realize you’ve been given some decent practical advice you could’ve gotten from a functional medicine book. She will send scare tactic articles about other practices if you mention wanting to use a less-expensive provider. She’s a sheisty person, who cares about her money first and foremost. She could’ve skipped the doctorate and gone straight into sales. But I guess the doctorate allows her to sell her words at hundreds of dollars an hour. Even though those words are mostly a sales pitch for more testing and vitamin injections.

A money grab! Stay away
It was a money grab; I agree with another review that she may have the knowledge, but it appeared her main focus was money. I am an educated person, I read each test as they came back as they were emailed to me by her assistant/secretary. Yet, during our follow-up sessions she went over 2 test per session as if I was an idiot. She could have summed everything up in 1 hour and discussed a plan of action. I was so disappointed I could not get the help I needed. I stopped going when months went by and all she did was prescribed a boat load of supplements. I eventually was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease.

I have been seeing Dr. Ali for 2 years for gut, hormone and autoimmune issues. From our initial meeting, I knew I had a partner in health for the first time. She listens, she is brilliant, and she cares. Yes, her practice and the testing costs money and sadly it it not available to all for that reason, but relative to other functional medicine doctors she is very reasonable and worth every penny.

Dr. Ali was very helpful in helping us get our son into a path of healing. But she didn't see it through. What others have said about the financial part is real. Not just because the labs she uses are expensive, but because she charges you for things like drawing blood in her office, even when the one drawing it is a secretary without the proper training, not even a medicine student, who hurted my son in the process. She knows medicine, but she doesn't work to get you back to health as soon as possible, and it makes you feel like she keeps you going to the practice so she can keep charging you. Namrata was a wonderful, caring assistant and she tried to help the patients and treated them with compassion.

Helpful truly cares about her client I have seen diseases reversed, and she does it safely, yes it might cost an arm and a leg but guess what you get what you pay for. in a capitalistic society that values the almighty dollar over health is the country's issue. If Dr. ali could practice and provide the testing and have it all covered through insurance but she cannot. and this is out health care system not her!!!! so please keep this in mind when reading the other comments... when you can not function in life, lose your job/ career, friends because regular drs are ignoring or making things worse , or just do not have the means because their hands are tied by what insurance reimburses. This is why dr ali Chooses to do what she does she knows the tests that are imperative to see the missing pieces of your health puzzle that, she reverses disease quickly with her knowledge and treatments sure you can use other ones but you will not get the same result. Dr. Ali has changed my famliys lif

do NOT GO to this doctor, it's more of a money making scheme rather than a place to heal and help chronic illness or complex health issues. she made me pay over $500 in vitamin b and vitamin d shots that I could have gotten for half the price elsewhere, let alone I did not REALLY need them. she won't help you over email, either, and will require you to schedule an appointment if you have a question, and pay more. little to no compassion for patient...save your money

I believe that Dr. Ali has knowledge to help patients suffering from chronic disease. However, my ability to trust her was compromised by her approach to finances/profit. I understand that functional medicine is expensive, but I felt nickeled and dimed at ever turn (charging each patient $10.50 in shipping for meds that she receives from a compounding pharmacy in bulk?? charging shipping for each injection when it's evident the bottle that was shipped houses many injections worth of treatments??). She would casually prescribe treatments that cost thousands of dollars without mentioning the cost or providing alternative approaches...unless challenged. Perhaps worst of all, I emailed her office after my last visit with a request that she call me to address questions I had about her latest testing/treatment recommendation. That was months ago. I've called the office twice to remind them of my request, but no call back...not even after I canceled my appointment and have not returned

I went to Dr. Ali to help me figure out a complex medical issue and was disappointed to find a doctor who was more concerned with her fee than with my wellbeing. She misdiagnosed liver cancer based on an ultrasound and delivered the news by phone more than a day after sending me an email telling me it was urgent. After telling me it was almost certain that I had cancer, she asked me how I was planning to pay for her bill.
