I found the Dr to be only interested in what is on paper and not addressing my concerns or answering my questions. Found the office staff to not know their job. Orders were not sent for my blood work and had to call Dr’s office to get them sent when I was at quest. MRI orders were sent without Dr’s signature and had to follow up with several phone calls. The phone maze is no fun and difficult to get phone calls returned. One person I talked to had a dog barking in the back ground. Front desk was great and helpful. Due to high cost of treatment I chose to wait until next year to start treatment and the Dr has said she will no longer see me. I cannot recommend anyone go to this clinic.

The oncologist practice of medicine with a patient may be among most difficult in medicine. The treatment will last the patient’s lifetime. I have relied on Dr. Hasham-Jiwa and amazing her staff for my cancer treatment since March 2018. Now, 18 months Post-Op and still doing well. I am extremely lucky to be under her wonderful care.

When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I was certain that it was a death sentence for me. I went to see Dr. Hasham-Jiwa who calmed me with her extensive knowledge and willingness to answer my endless questions. She expertly guided me through treatment decisions, and despite an aggressive case of cancer and a long, horrendous "cure", managed to bring me out whole. Her aftercare (for 10 years now!) has been superb as well and is rendered with empathy for a survivor's needs. A great doctor!!

Dr. Hasham-Jiwa treated me more than 5 years ago. As soon as she diagnosed me she immediately took matters into her own hands and started scheduling my procedures. I was so devastated and confused but I felt relieved as she was so focused on treating me. I recently followed up with her for a routine check up and was glad to see that care for her patients was still her number one priority. I would recommend her to any friend or family member.

I did my due diligence. Dr. Hasham is the best in the field. Her demeanor puts my mom (and me) at ease. When my mom was admitted to the hospital last year, she made several trips to make sure diagnosis were correct and made sure mom was getting the best care. She ordered a test that was overlooked (thank goodness!). She was patient with my many family members’ questions and answered each one with empathy and honesty. I am so grateful to have found such a knowledgeable and caring doctor for mom!

Failed to recognize the signs and symptoms of a known complication of chemotherapy, causing my father to almost die from a bowel perforation. Failed to warn my father he was at risk for the development of another bowel complication. Failed again to recognize the signs and symptoms of a known complication of immunotherapy, which caused my father to suffer yet another bowel perforation, subsequent sepsis and death. Her negligence caused my father so much pain and suffering. Horrible physician.

I had my first visit with Dr.Hasham today, and let me start off by saying this has been one of the best experiences I've had. The two girls in the front were very sweet! After a short wait in the lobby, I was brought back by the MA. She was very courteous and professional. I was put in a room and the Dr. came in within 5 minutes. She explained my lab results in detail and took her time talking with me and answering all my questions. I highly recommend Dr. Hasham-Jiwa and her office staff !

I called and made my appt with her Astoria location months before my appt. My radiation oncologist had stressed the importance of seeing an oncologist and getting put on a medication as soon after radiation as possible. Dr. Hasham-Jiwa showed in network on Aetna's docfind and they confirmed they were in my network when I called to make the appt. However, they called at 4:20pm the day before my appt and cancelled because they bill under the group name and that is NOT in network. Beware.
