Incorrect Diagnosis
She insisted that I have a colposcopy for erroneously diagnosing me at a visit 2 weeks before. The wait times are outrageous. 2 hours in the waiting room and then another 2-3 hours in the room while you listen to the other patients being seen that came after you. There is one particular office staff member that is extremely rude.

The worst Dr and worst practice.
All they care about is making money, they impose unclaimed copay on patients and numerous amount of followups for no reason. Even when I stepped into JFK hospital for a detailed exam and the nurses got to know I was Dr Namrata’s patient , they said “Oh! dr shah, that’s how she is” Save your time, peace of mind and money by not going here.

Dr Shah is a great doctor! I had a lot of problems during my pregnancy. Dr Shah always answered all my concerns patiently. She helped me with my labor and was very supportive when I was having trouble delivering my son. She was calm and patient and helped me all night. Because of her I was able to deliver normal and my baby is healthy. Feel very blessed and thankful! Vruta and Ankit

DR. Shah literally is the BEST OBGYN anyone could have. DR. Shah listens to everything I have to say and never brushed me off. My delivery was amazing thanks to her and she allowed me to stick to my plan. Shes compassionate and she became available for me 24-7 no matter the time, whenever I needed her. Her staff is very compassionate as well and is always making sure everything is good.

Irresponsible staff
Doctor office staff is worst. they always give wrong information. They give the appointment but not mention which office to go. Some staff members says that you can get the report by email and the manager says that they never give by email. Even their staff member is not that in which office and what time manager comes. They just give false answers. Manager never wants to take any responsibility for their staff member's blunders. Always waiting time is more than one hour. These are the experiences of other patients also. In general i feel that the staff is highly irresponsible.

The best doctor
Dr. Namrata Shah is a wonderful doctor! She listens and considers all factors before coming up with treatment plans. She is very honest and explains what is going on in lay terms. She is very confident and experienced doctor. She calms my nerves every time I see her and I know I can trust her to tell me what’s going on. She doesn’t sugar coat things which I respect. I find that helpful in a doctor so expectations are realistic! I would recommend her to anyone!!

Our guardian angel
I am not a person who writes lot of reviews. But the care and emotional support i received during a critical period of my pregnancy made a significant difference. So, I felt it is important that I share my experience so other expecting moms can benefit from Dr. Shah and team’s care. Just to help the readers appreciate why I say it, I approached Dr. Shah’s office during my last trimester, as it was classified as high risk pregnancy and i was not happy with the way my then OBGYN handled my case. Even at that late stage, Dr Shah magnanimously accepted to consider my case. During my first review, Dr Shah’s was methodical in her assessment. Her calmness and confidence made me feel at ease and finally I felt that I was in safe hands. And true to her promise when I first met her, she turn ed my high risk pregnancy in to a joyful journey and helped deliver a beautiful baby. Today, thanks to Dr Shah both of us are doing well. About Dr Shah, i feel she is a wonderful person.

Dr. Namrata shah has long waiting time, average more than 1 hour, very less communication to Patient, don't given enough attention to patient and questions and no clarifications. Unnecessary asks for more visits for check ups and treatments.

We went there 3 times. We regret it. We do not recommend Dr. Shah. After that we were very upset and we canceled our last appointment. We said we only want to come in to get a copy of our results (not a doctors visit nor appointment). We went and they just forward us to a website we’re they didn’t give us accuse to. We gave up. Later on I get a bill for a doctors visit for that date. We didn’t even see any doctor or nurse, we just talked to the reception to try and get our test results. Not a good experience, we do not recommend.

Time is irrelevant to her and her staff. It is inconsiderate and disrespectful. I have a job and a family and she does not consider my time important. What is the point of an appointment? I logged on for 45 minutes for a televisit and the office calls me at 9:15pm to tell me to log on. They call after 9pm for reminder calls. It is ridiculous. It is unfortunately difficult to change OBs mid pregnancy but I will no longer be continuing with her after I give birth.

Dr.Shah you are a disgrace to the field and give doctors a bad name. It's disgusting how money hungry and unprofessional you and your office are. It's baffling how inhumane you are being you chose a field that's supposed to HELP people. I don't know how many people you've stressed and harassed during their pregnancy's but I can assure you I'm seeing to it that you never continue mistreating patients the way you do ever again.

This doctor is woefully incompetent. The staff is rude disrespectful and they hold no patient care skills. The average wait time in the office is 4 hours. If you value your time, DO NOT go to this doctor. Download a movie on your phone if you go to this place the wait time is so unreasonably long. She is also very unprofessional, and her staff also books appointments at unconventional hours. The Edison office is very small and is very congested for such a small place. 0 Stars.

I miss her a lot. I needed someone like her for my first delivery as a first time mom. All the negative reviewers have to understand a gyni deal with TONS of patients. Despite all that I found her to be calm and collected, understanding and very empathetic. I would go back to her if I was still living in New Jersey. She is sharp, and very knowledgable. I like that she emphasizes over normal vaginal more over cesarian. What does that go to say? She doesn't care about the money more! Amazing.
