Dr. Bush met with me and my wife regarding my brain tumor. She was thorough in discussing my condition and treatment options. She was empathetic about our concerns and questions.

Dr. Bush is the finest doctor we have ever had. She is so knowledgeable and compassionate and kind. There is no one else like her and we have met with many experts in the field. We choose her as our doctor at UCSF even though we live in LA because she is so far superior to anyone down here. Everything about her-being so smart, and such a great listener, and so kind makes her the best doctor we've ever had.

Dr. Oberheim Bush has attended to my husband for 7 years as he navigated the physical and emotional stresses of a brain tumor diagnosis.He remains in remission, living with disability, but with quality too.She has truly listened to him, guided and cared for his needs.We are both medical doctors and are heartened to see such caregiving in an era of (sometimes) assembly-line style.Thank you, Dr.Bush and UCSF's Department of Neuro-oncology.

Dr. Bush had to give me some not so good news from my first MRI after surgery and brachytherapy. She was honest and direct but also empathetic and caring. I asked her some hard questions and she didn't flinch. She was honest and direct but also kind and thoughtful. We've not given up yet and I'm glad she's on my team.

Dr. Nancy Ann Oberheim Bush is able to be responsive, work collaboratively with my other neuro oncologists at Stanford Healthcare, bring standard of care as well as trial care options and communicate at the right level for the patient. I have been dual visiting her as well as Dr. Seema Nagpal at Stanford for about 2 years and it’s always been constructive and with a very high degree of consensus on the treatment which inspires confidence. I am always so impressed at how doctors treating terminal illnesses with fairly short prognoses are able to be positive, and build a strong relationship with the patients. My case has been peer reviewed several times by her UCSF neuro oncology/surgery/radiation colleagues and this is a strength of the system. This is a tough field, she does it great credit..

Dr. Bush is extremely knowledgeable and caring. She came visit me after my surgery just to check how I was doing and answer any questions I may have. All the visits I had with her were very positive and she took the time to address all my concerns. One example that stood out is Dr. Bush sought a second opinion of an MRI to put my mind at ease. Dr. Bush called me the same afternoon and gave me the good news. Honestly, I've seen plenty of oncology here in TX (I live in TX), and none of them could compete with Dr. Bush. I would seriously fly to San Francisco just to have my semi-annual MRI follow up with her if I have to.

Dr. Bush is thorough, provides explanations, answers all our questions and we feel very supported by her and her team. I use the portal often to ask questions and she amazingly gets back to us right away! I would highly recommend her to anyone requiring her level of expertise!

Dr. Oberheim Bush came highly recommended by my neurosurgeon who performed my craniotomy for excision of menigioma, for post-surgical care. Dr. OB has been wonderful. She takes her time explaining all facets of my care, listens to my concerns, and has a fantastic bedside manner to boot. Any neuro patient would be lucky to have her as their doctor.
