Dr. Nancy Lee, MD

I previously went to an Optometrist who gave me a diagnosis for my eye problem. I was not satisfied and wanted to hear it from a Physician. I was scheduled to see Dr. Lee of Kaiser Permanente at Vandever. She is a doctor with an attitude. I came in for a second opinion. She said that what I have is normal for my age. I was really troubled by my new eye condition that I asked if there's a way to prevent it from getting worse. Her reply was (with her brows raised) it's NORRRRRMAAAALLL! Like duh. Every question I asked - her responses were labored. It's 9:30 in the morning. I was her first patient for the day and she was acting like she's been working all day! She's condescending and unaccommodating. She did not explain anything. All she said was it was normal. NO INFORMATION AT ALL! The Optometrist gave me more information than her. Careful when choosing Kaiser Permanente. Some of their doctors are really rude!

My mother had cataract surgery at Kaiser this year, and Dr Lee did both eyes. She was pleasant, professional, and answered all our questions. After the surgeries we went back to our previous optometrist for follow-up eye exam and to get a new prescription for reading glasses. Our regular doctor said that the result of the cataract surgery was a best-possible case, and my mother now has 20-20 vision in both eyes.

Dr. Lee did not listen to me at all! She simply repeated that I had dry eye. I asked for another Dr and he immediately diagnosed me with a cataract. All of my symptoms were indicative of the cataract. Dr Lee didn't even mention this possibility.
