Dr. Nancy Zepf, MD

I don’t know if this is just my experience, but she seemed to disregard my concerns as a parent towards my child. My children are all vaccinated, one was a smidge behind on boosters of vaccines that she already previously started. however, our family was battling an infection with strep throat. I requested to just do the physical, which was already scheduled in advance and come back for the vaccines. Dr. Zepf was very demeaning in how she demanded that the vaccines be done that same day. She made me feel as though I was a garbage parent. What do you know…The next day my child woke up ill!. Her face was swollen! I should’ve trusted my gut and asked to delay the vaccine for one week. She looked at guidelines more than she did at the patient. She said that they even vaccinate ill children, because the benefit outweighs the risk. That is even against CDC’s guidelines. CDC guidelines say that if a child has fever or fatigue or change in behavior that delay can be good … If you’re ever concerned for your child and whether the child should delay by a week or two a vaccine while the family is sick, including the child (I didn’t mention, but she was already lethargic, which I told to the doctor, but she disregarded)… Really hope this is a one off experience with this physician. I truly think children’s health should be a partnership between parents and physicians… this was not what I experienced with her
