Dr. Nandini Gowda, MD

I chose her because she had good reviews. Was let down. Almost lost my unborn baby because of her inaction. And waited 2 hours to be told they wouldn't do anything... mind you, not that they couldn't. That they wouldn't. Thankfully I saw someone else and was given the medication I needed and baby is okay.

Dr. Gowda is not only a true professional but also a personable individual. She takes the time to listen, asks insightful questions, and offers thorough evaluations along with well-structured treatment plans. As a leader in her specialty, she provides exceptional mentorship to the medical residents at the UCR Multispecialty Office. I am extremely pleased with the care I receive from Dr. Gowda.

Dr Gowda does not listen to me, and brushes me off during my appointments. This last appointment was my second time being brushed off, where when I get a second opinion, it ends up being exactly what I said it was. I am not a doctor, I am aware of that. However, I have had health issues before, and when I explain my symptoms to you and you "evaluate" me, you should be able to figure out what the issue is. I put evaluate in quotation marks because I don't even think you can count what she does as an evaluation. Looking tells you nothing. Palpate, listen, and at least pretend you care about my health. Would NOT recommend.

Always thorough and attentive

Dr Gowda is very personable and made me feel very comfortable. She has a lot of knowledge in treating high blood pressure and I am happy to have been recommended to her. I am confident she will meet my expectations with improving my health.

Did not listen to me, sent me to the ER when my insurance allows me to go directly to a specialist, and never returned my phone calls about my followup.

This was my first visit. Therefore, as my first impression the doctor was very thorough. I did have my past medical records and she took the time to review as well as my lab history. The doctor was being shadowed by a med student (Kevin Westbrook) and the doctor had very good teaching skills and very good “bedside” manner. The doctor and med student explained in detail my health condition and made my goals realistic. The process was streamlined and the wait time was minimal. The staff took the time to actually listen to me and answered questions accordingly. I appreciated not being lectured on what I need to do or what I know I have to do. I look forward to a continued relationship.
