I had a terrible experience with Dr. Jata. I herniated a disc and had it repaired in Feb. It was supposed to be a one day hospitalization. I developed a terrible infection immediately after surgery. His follow-up care was non-existent. I was in the hospital for 10 days and he only came in to check on me on the day I was being discharged, despite requests from several nurses. I finally just finished up with all doctor appointments related to this surgery here in Sept. In total I had to have an additional 3 surgeries and 4 procedures on my back. On several occasions his communications were untruthful and disappointing. One of which was when he told me he doesn't know how to treat infections. If it wasn't for seeking out another surgeon and infection disease doctor I probably won't be here today.

Skilled surgeon…
This man saved my life on January 9, 2021. I had emergency surgery to remove a colloid cyst from the third ventricle of my brain. The cc was blocking brain fluid and causing hydrocephalus. I met him a few minutes before being taken to the OR. Very grateful for his skill.

Very condescending. Doesn’t listen. Cuts the patient off mid sentence. Makes it clear that he doesn’t have time for the patient. Lacks empathy.

Dr. JATA is a wonderful Dr. I nearly died from a med reaction and then 4 weeks later had to have corporal surgery done. He listened to me and was very attentive to my needs. Did a wonderful surgery and I'm healing well, everyone who works for him was so kind and helpful. PA-C SCOTT FOXWORTH took my stitches out last week and he was so kind too and funny...I would highly recommend this Dr Jada. He is a 5 star for me. Thank you Dr. Jada for everything !!

Beware of scott Dr. Jatas P.A
Dr Jonas seems to be a good doctor however the PA that he has Scott, is by far the rudest person that I have ever met in my life and is very uncaring has no bedside manner and refuses to listen to the patients. I had to talk really bad to this man in order to get somebody to get Dr Giada in there to talk to me because of the condition that I was in. I had already been in the hospital for a total of a month and a half when infection set up in my spine after a TLIF... Dr John has seen me a total of maybe three or four times the whole time I was in the hospital for 2 months and Scott came in there always with the bad attitude I was treated very poorly by him I hope he loses his job and his license he has no need in trying to be anything close to a doctor or treating patients with the way he treats them.

I had been to see him in 2019 & 2020. Each were separate but similar issues. I got referral back to him after my surgeon went out of network. I didn't want to have to go through the reestablishment with a new surgeon. However he did not listen to me at all. I was there for a completely different injury that required surgery in Dec 2020, and in 2021 my surgeon left the network but stated clearly we needed to watch my L4-L5 on the left. I ended up with covid & ice storm in Texas having a slower recovery. I ended up hurting myself again. MRI showed the left side herniated, exactly what we were watching for and hoping not to happen. He did not even listen to me. He interrupted me several times not asking valid questions but stating I went around his suggestion of a spinal stimulator and to a surgeon. Yes, I did but from an injury after I had seen him. The myelogram showed spinal fluid blockage. Nothing to do with the first visits other than it was my back. Totally separate & serious injury

Performed surgery on my back and left me with dead muscle, black spots on my brain, and a broken SI joint. He was fine until then, just make sure if you need surgery that he isn't the one performing it.

I had an initial appointment on January 13, 2021 with Dr. Jata to have him assess my ocular migraines. It was easy to make an appointment, the receptionist was nice and the nursing staff was helpful, courteous, and experienced. Dr. Jata reviewed my MRI results and prescribed two tests. One for the effectiveness of my pituitary gland and the other a lumbar puncture to assess brain pressure. Today was my follow-up visit. Again, I found the staff to be kind, courteous and helpful. Dr, jata is a matter-of-fact doctor and although not deep with bedside manner, he does seem caring and very experienced. I will be going back to him if my ocular migraine issue increases.

Does not listen to concerns. He did surgery on my mom's back we went back about a week and a half later. I told him something was wrong he didn't x-ray her back and I had to insist that he look at it. He just said it was normal. For the next year we had numerous x-rays until finally the skin broke open and there was an infection around one of the screws. Another do to took out all the hardware Jata put in and she was on iv antibiotics for 6 weeks. Would never let this man touch another family me

Dr. Jata explained my problem and did a great job with my surgery however trying to get the surgery scheduled with his office was extremely difficult. There is a huge lack of communication between him and his office staff. Hopefully you don't need anything after the surgery because they can't seem to help you!

Dr. Jata operated my back one afternoon about 4 pm. I arrived home about 9 pm. same day. The next morning I was able to walk out of my house and went to breakfast without any problem. I highly recommend Dr. Jata. He was able to explain my problem where I could understand it. I did take it easy for a few weeks but that is to be expected.

Love Dr Jata. But, i will say he needs a new nurse. The one he has does nothing. She never schedules MRI 's like she is suppose to and she doesn't order the correct xrays either. In the past, I have waited for months, in pain, for her to schedule my MRI. She gives one excuse after another but I never have this experience with any other office. She won't call and give you an update, and gets huffy if you call and ask for one. He really needs to get a new, more professional nyear.
