Had a bed sore not healing properly. Dr. Mathews cleaned the area, found a infection. Prescribed the proper medication and a referral to a specialist. The original Dr. Treating this failed where Dr. Mathews provided the proper treatment.

Refered to me by my previous Dr who retired, Dr Matthew's definitely has my trust. He doesn't gloss over issues and strives to find the causes of what's wrong. His pleasant demeanor is always a comfort as well.

I started seeing Dr. Matthews after my Dr of 30 years retired. I was worried as I was used to my previous Dr. But I need to say- Dr. Matthews is great! He explains things so I can understand. He takes time to get to know you. And listens. I have been happy having Dr. Matthews as my doctor.

Honestly, I picked him due to reviews which I highly don’t recommend him as caring nor great bed side mannered physician. Especially working with honor health for over 6 years knowing the medical and hospital system. I felt belittled in our conversation when expressing concern. Very condescending demeanor and I was not at all pleased with the visit, especially meeting him for the first time. I felt as if anytime I expressed a concern he tried making me feel dumb about it my own questions. What a waist of time and ins money. Drs. Like him need a reality check about their ego and show more empathy to their patients. I will never continue care with the physician.

Dr. Matthews is a kind and caring physician who takes the time to really listen to me and understand what I am talking about. If meds are necessary, he may suggest a more natural solution before moving on to an RX. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a .physician who cares. When my former PCP moved out of the area I was "Googling" for a new one in my area. I clicked on Honor Health and was reading about each one at that location. They are all well qualified. However, I was drawn to him because (in my opinion) he has kind eyes. I chose him and have never regretted it.
