Dr. Wood may have saved my life
I am writing to express my deepest gratitude to Dr. Wood for his exceptional care during my recent visit to the emergency department.Following prostate surgery, I experienced concerning symptoms, including pain and a lack of significant urination despite fluid intake. Dr. Wood stood out by truly listening to my concerns and not dismissing them. He performed a thorough examination, including a physical assessment and bloodwork, which revealed kidney impairment. This led him to suspect a more serious issue. His quick action saved the day. A catheter was used to drained nearly 3 liters of fluid which stopped my agonizing pain , and a CT scan revealed a bladder perforation, potentially stemming from the initial surgery.Dr. Wood didn't stop there. He consulted with specialists before recommending a treatment plan, demonstrating his commitment to finding the best possible care for me. While my recovery is on going, I am thankful to his intervention.

Disregarded symptoms leading to life support
This guy has the inability to actually care about anything beyond what's keeping from what he wants to be doing which apparently is not being an actual doctor. I came in presenting classic early signs of Guillain Barre/Miller Fisher Syndrome but all he heard was that I was a mom to young children and literally told me that I should just get some sleep and focus on my kids because all moms get to the point of wanting to be lazy but I shouldn't act on it. That was after his nurses and other staff rushed to help me get to the room because I was losing the ability to walk, support myself, or even hold a pen to sign my name. I am/was a healthy athletic person capable of running 10-15 miles weekly. I did not want him treating me after that statement and had my husband help me leave until change of shift which ended up seeing me on life support for 12 days

Gruff, doesn't listen. Few people skills. Might be a great doc, but as an supervisor of other docs (the role in which we met) he does not excel. He showed no concern for my child's welfare or our questions.
