Patient Beware
Telehealth
Rushes you through appts, forgets what medications you're on, puts you on meds that are contraindicated, calls in medications to wrong pharmacies and at the wrong time of the month so you have to do all the footwork to cancel it, request it again when the time is right and wait for insurance to approve it, says one thing one appt and contradicts himself the next, made me go into a terrible withdrawal during a time I was trying to find the right dose, refused to give his email to my psychologist and ADHD assessor so that they could communicate as a team for me, sets appts but doesn't keep the right time, makes appt and doesn't tell you and told me I was hard to communicate with. SO SO stressful. Thank God I found someone new.

Keep searching for your own well being
I'm not big on leaving reviews, however I couldn't not leave one for him. Never imagined I'd be leaving a review like this, but he got extremely careless. If you're looking for care and compassion, not feeling like you're wasting someone's time, do not go to this "doctor". He is someone who loves his "power" and enjoys showing that he has the control over your needs. He has stopped caring after 6 years of being his patient, and it definitely makes you feel hurt and confused. Lowered medication and then the ignoring began. After adjusting it, he completely wiped his hands clean. And then ignores concerning texts unimaginable any doctor could ignore. Makes you reach out multiple times, over a course of days for a refill (all the time!). He truly doesn't care for the well being of his patients. Terrible at listening, barely talks. If you disagree with something he says/suggests, he talks over you (haha!). For your mental well being, find someone else. Thankfully I did! No more stressing!!

Terrible "doctor"
Had me on so many medications, I was like a zombie. I would like to know where he got his education from.

I've been seeing Dr Achar since 2018 and he always takes time to listen to my questions and concerns. He has been very helpful to me while taking time and never rushing me, he really seems to care about his patients. I recommend him to anyone seeking medical help and hope I never have to change dr's again!

I've seen this psychiatrist a handful of times and he NEVER remembers who I am. All he does it type on a computer and stare at the screen the whole time. He's answered calls and texts without any sort of apology or explanation (i.e. Sorry I have a patient in crisis). I feel like he's never actually listened to me or provided me with any sort of quality care.

He definitely did not review my chart before I came in because he had asked some questions that he would have easily known if he did. Every time I went for a visit he would ask questions he already knew the answers to from last time. I hate repeating myself on issues that my doctor should clearly remember. Not personable and was on the computer the whole time. Ugh. Also spent 20 min during first apt when we had 50 mins.

A nice doctor but I wish he wasn't on the computer the whole time I was talking to him. Also didn't seem to have reviewed my chart beforehand from some of his suggestions.
