Dr. Smiles, listens! Asks questions to understand! Quiet, but knows his sh*t.He allowed me to read the full ultrasound report. He has ordered numerous other tests to get a final diagnosis and will plot a course of action once all results are in.The administrative side of this has been disastrous, but this review is only about the Doctor.Ignore the reviews and get answers - they may be answers you do not want to hear, but they were honest.

Someone finally listened!!
I don’t know what the negative reviews for this doctor are about but reading them had me afraid he would be rude and dismissive but let me tell y’all what, Dr. Barot came in with a huge smile on his face and completely took care of me. I am used to male doctors dismissing my concerns but he spent over a half hour talking with me and going over my symptoms and recent tests by another doctor that misdiagnosed me. He ordered more tests and reassured me that he will get to the bottom of what’s been going on with me for years. I couldn’t be happier with how my visit with Dr. Barot went and I look forward to him taking care of me as long as I need to see a gastroenterologist.

My first appointment, I waited an hour just to see him for a minute and a half, where he ordered a colonoscopy without even examining me.$$$ Reported for procedure and he was 2 1/2 hours late for that. Won’t use him again!!!

The worst healthcare experience I have ever had. This guy walked into the examining room while looking at a clipboard, and did not once make eye contact with me. He asked me if I was taking antibiotics, I replied that yes I was. He told me to keep taking them. I then got a bill for $113 bill after insurance for less than 90 seconds of "care".

I hate seeing bad reviews because apparently only the bad had time to review. I seen this Dr in Gulfport and he was one of the most knowledgeable doctors I have seen. Not a big chatter, but extremely intelligent and made a drastic change in my life. So glad I ignored reviews because he discovered something a lot of other doctors tried to for years and were unable. He order EVERY test possible and finally found my diagnosis which other providers gave up on. My problem was real!

Dr. Barot was extremely rude in dealing with my young adult daughter. He treated us as though we were unrducated and couldn't possibly understand his diagnosis or trestment plan. However, I am s highly educated individual and come from a family of several medical providers. At one point I was told I had nothone to medical school as he had and therefore couldn't understand. He also would not go over pathology reports eith me growing angry when I requested a copy.
