One of the most knowledgeable doctors I have ever encountered. He is a walking encyclopedia and understands different risks and benefits of specific treatments. He also partners with me in treatment, rather than just telling me what to do.

Call another Doctor
If you are looking for compassionate care look for another doctor. After I wasted hours of my time with filling out all of his requested paperwork today i had my initial appointment this morning. I had a email from him first thing this morning telling me I have not communicated "properly". So when you try to call you get a answering machine. The problem is on his end. When I finally connected with Dr Nazrul Islam he was belligerent with me and hung up on me! Completely unprofessional and I'm happy to have avoided his care.

Dr. Islam is great! He listens very attentively and gives great advice. He's been careful about making sure my medications are safe from interactions with the others I'm on. He helped make my transition between antidepressants go smoothly and assisted me in finding one that works well for me. He has a wealth of expertise to draw upon and I hightly recommend him.

Can doctors get more incompetent than this guy? Probably not. That would be quite difficult. Somebody really needs to check this guy's qualifications, because... I think I may have been paying him to breath in his office. That's about the best thing I got out of the experience. Air.

Incredibly unprofessional, disrespectful, and rude. The staff requested new patient paperwork. So I filled it all out and send it all in. I was then told there was no space for new patients and to try again in one month. So I did. I never got a response. I followed up on a weekly basis afterwards and never received a single reply. There is absolutely no excuse for me being treated this way.

WORST psychiatrist EVER! Been to psychiatrists in 3 states, he is RUDE, dispassionate, lacks empathy and stares blankly into space during sessions. I wish I never met him.

Communication with this office is a joke. The doctor clearly does not care about his patients, as he has a very "hands-off, here are some drugs, you're textbook this and that, and then off you go to be someone else's problem" approach. This is supposed to be a doctor who can diagnose and help treat your mental illness, not make you feel worse about yourself and your life situation.

He is extremely unprofessional, argumentative if you disagree with him. You have to fill out an extensive prior history form before your first visit. He uses that for his diagnosis. After he kept pushing a med I had adverse effects from, I found another Dr. I asked for my records and his anecdotal notes were not only judgmental and inferior in tone, they were INACCURATE!! He would not correct the misinformation. Accused me of being confrontational when all I wanted was my file to be correct.

I'm highly recommend anyone to avoid seeing this doctor for your own sake. For this doctor I just looked it up based on my actual zip code and tried to find the nearest one so I ended up with this doctor. Dispite the fact that you have to fill out a new patient from on line and submit it to be qualified for acceptance, you are going to fill a folder of papers later on and then you are just going to realize why you were told to pay in advance and all signatures you made that's already too late.
